I just recently started my Masters in Nursing which I'd been considering for a few years. In June I went to the Dominican Republic for a friends wedding, and while sitting on the beach one day, with drink in hand, I found myself pinky swearing with my other girlfriend to go through the program with her. I am such a sucker, lol, but as I am huge believer in life long learning I am excited to see where this next phase in life will lead me. I believe laughter is the best stress reliever and should be used as often as possible. I believe in love, hugs , kisses, snuggling, and warm fuzzies. Well, that about covers the basics. Update: As of ***'13 I'm off to teach internationally. It's going to be a grand adventure! So, here I am. :) Now, it is hard to meet men here because of the distance thing. Hi I hope you’re having a great day. So, about me, I am usually a little shy to start out but my friends don’t seem to think I’m shy at all. I’m an outdoorsy girl. I like gardening and I put in my first real vegetable garden this year. It’s been great! So far I have managed to supply all my own vegetables this summer with a few extras. I enjoy getting out and trying new things. My main conundrum in life is that I like being home working on projects and riding my horses as much as I like traveling so while it’s sometimes hard to get away I always enjoy getting out and about. I also enjoy bicycling, hiking, going to movies and trying out zipline courses when the opportunity presents itself. My current big adventure is an at home adventure hosting a foreign exchange student. I went to Turkey for a summer when I was in high school and I want to give back the experience of living abroad to someone else so for the time being I am a single mom with a teenager. I live on acreage along with my horses and a dog and cat. So, am I a dog person or a cat person? I’d have to say both. I’m a dog person when it’s nice out and I want to play fetch or go for a trail ride (my dog has enough fun for both of us when we get out on the trail). I’m a cat person when it’s rainy and I want to curl up next to the fire with a good book. Though with the right guy the book and cat could be replaced….. I like cooking and trying out new recipes. I especially like uncomplicated recipes with spices that are out of the ordinary (for me at least) and I have a couple favorites from Camaroon and Ethiopia. I am looking for a man who has similar interests and outlook on life balancing home life with adventure. Interested? A good first date would be to go for a walk around the lake downtown and stop in to a restaurant for a bite to eat.

Is there anyone out there who wants to get to know someone as a friend first? If you would like someone to go to lunch with, cook healthy meals together, do errands, play pool or go out to karaoke once in awhile, take a walk in the park, go shopping, go to farmer's markets, book stores, etc, let's talk and decide if we want to meet. Drama is not my cup of tea. I know we all have problems and situations that come up in life, but I believe it's how a person reacts to those things that determine if they turn into drama or not.
