I have begun to wonder if the description part even matters. So many people look at the pictures and make their decisions on who someone is....how fair is that? I work with young children and the thing I love the most about them is that they "see" the real person, they don't judge. If only more people were like little children in that way! There is so much more to me than my size or what I look like. I am a romantic at heart. I feel that there is someone special for each of us...that one person who brings out the best in you and makes you smile for no other reason than the fact that you were thinking of them. I believe that relationships take work but that the end result is what puts the smile on your face and in your heart. I try to give to others in whatever way I can that will make them feel special and cared about. I have many interests....movies, attending sporting events, concerts (variety of genres), hiking, walking etc. I am also able to speak a few different languages.....football, nascar, and basketball and am willing to learn more languages :-) I have learned from the mistakes in my past and I don't judge others by the actions of those in my past and I am hoping to find someone who feels the same way. Who says the second time around can't be better than the first?!? I try to find the positive in all things and enjoy a good laugh. I really enjoy being around someone who is witty with a great sense of humor. My youngest just graduated from high school and will be heading off to join his older brother in the USAF and I am about to enter a new chapter of my life and I am looking forward to seeing what gets written in the book of my life. I know I am not model material but I am NOT lazy. I walk several times a week, have completed Bloomsday the past two years. I hope to find the man who will take the time to find out who I am! I am a person who sees the strengths in others and I don't give up on people.....I would love to meet someone who is the same way. I have admit I have an ulterior motive for joining this site: I recently saw on the news that people in committed relationships live 10 years longer than those who aren't! ; antique stores, all kinds of music (except bad Rap and bad country) but I especially love Motown, R& I like to randomly sing and dance around, sometimes it embarrasses my teenage nieces, but they have pretty much learned to get over it! I enjoy keeping a nice home and making holiday dinners, lacy and silky clothes (mostly pajamas), French perfume, natural, organic, vanilla, rose or patchouli baths (I'm trying my best to go organic with everything... when I can), working out, absolutely love rafting the river and I enjoy going on nature walks, preferably with somebody nice. My favorite television is the Antiques Roadshow, PBS mysteries, Futurama, Family Guy, Spongebob, SNL and SOA. I like traditional Gothic literature, not the new stuff. I love old classic romantic movies from the ***s-..... so well, you get the picture!People tell me that I'm on the dreamy side: Rainbows, unicorns, fairies, angels... and I guess that is mostly true, but I am a realist too and I know how to take care of business. I am what some people would call a "girly girl", I work out everyday but I'm not athletic or thin. I am a talented, creative, curvy woman who is very comfortable being feminine. I am not masculine at all. If you like cowgirls or tomboys, you probably won't like me very much! I am a bit of a grease monkey for my job, but that's about as boyish as I get and that's only because I have to do it. I am a strict vegetarian for myself and talk about it a lot, but I accept outside choices for others, I just don't like it. My political views tend to lean more to the left than the right, some of the time I'm in the middle. I believe in freedom for everyone not just the privileged. If you are a devout republican (like my ex) then be prepared for a debate or do not discuss it with me. Probably my favorite thing to do with my boyfriend is watch tv together in bed!-informed propaganda they were attempting to report!I think it would be great to meet someone nice for friendship and doing fun things together: dinner, movies, playing board games, talking, road trips, museums, art galleries, concerts or whatever else.If a romance develops that would be wonderful! If not, then fond friendship is fine with me and I feel happy to say that I have had the great fortune to retain all of my previous boyfriends as friends, some closer friends than others, but still I am friendly towards all of them regardless of whatever happened in the past. I tend to prefer the type of man who is successful in his field and who knows how to value and treat a lady. I prefer the type of man who knows how to protect and take care of a woman. But I am not completely selfish, I know how to give and receive and once a relationship is established, I am very loyal and supportive. I am proud to be a Christian, not prideful, but rather happy to know and serve the Lord, and I try to live up to the meaning of what that truly means everyday. So, because my faith defines Who I Am, I do ask if you contact me, please be a genuine Christian because otherwise we probably would not be compatible and I have learned that there is no exception to this, at least for me there's not.I would like to meet someone who makes me smile, who doesn't feel the need to control me or be my superior, who isn't out to use me. Ultimately I would like to meet the right man for more than just friendship but everyone is not a perfect fit and I don't want to jam a square peg into a round hole! But please know this, I am not a player nor am I interested in meeting any players or anyone who is searching for an "intimate encounter" (ie, one night stand). I have learned that some men say that they are a Christian, but they certainly do not always act like one! For a third date, dinner and a movie, then going home for coffee and desert afterward and maybe playing a board game or cards, talking or even watching a movie on TV. I am always up for antiquing, too or going to museums, art shows, the theater, or wine tasting is fun. But I'm pretty much open to as whatever my date and I agree would be fun or interesting.

I enjoy life. I love my job. I have an amazing unique athletic son and two awesome senior Great Danes . Summer is fast approaching and i am going to learn how to camp. The learning curve is high . Briefly, (well, that didn't happen- I'm back and forth to NJ as needed. Music is a big part of my life. I play classical piano, but for listening, its gotta be rock n roll! My taste is varied, from classic, to R & B, alternative, and the newer country that crossed over to rock style. I'm really into photography, and shoot pictures wherever I go, even from the back of a bike. I'm not a "biker", but do looove riding as a passenger on warm, sunny days! I adore children, most animals (can't pass a dog without stopping to say hi), teaching, learning, hiking outside or treadmilling with ipod inside : ) I'm happy being cozy inside, watching a movie, playing board games, cooking together, working on house projects, or going out, for a concert, photo hike, exploring museums, flea markets, and those wonderful festivals out here! You can tell I am social, talkative, (REALLY? you ask) so if you want someone seen not heard, or don't enjoy good conversation, I'm not your girl. I love to listen and learn about you, remember details that are important, what you like/don't - that's what makes a caring relationship. I'm open-minded and like the same, can't tolerate prejudice or judgemental angry people. I'm going through a big transition with moving, career, etc.;happy every day" people, I might not fit the bill. That's my goal, but we all have good days, and bad, and I can't hide my emotions.
