Have you ever wished that you had what it took to be great at flirting? Even better yet, do you wish that you could figure out if somebody was actually flirting with you?
It’s an age-old issue that so many people have gone through and yet understanding flirting and working through the common signs is foreign to so many of us that are dating. From the minute that you meet somebody, you can determine if they are trying to tell you something or if they are interested—and these tell-tale signs can carry over into the first date and the growing relationship too!
Flirting is the language of dating and relationships, so once you learn to master it, then you become much better in this area overall. The more that you can put yourself out there and flirt, the better your dating game becomes. The more that you learn to listen to the cues of other people or tune into what they are saying, the more effective of a communicator it will make you in general. It’s not as hard as you might think, though not all flirting comes from obvious signs or words uttered. It may be their body language or what they aren’t saying that gives you an open invitation to get to know them better. Once you learn to tune into these then there is virtually no stopping you!
The most common flirting signs are easy enough to decipher once you know what you’re doing. Be in tune to what your date is telling you, be ready to listen and pay attention, and you will come off as a really great catch in the end. This is how you become a master of your dating life and how you show people that you are a really great person to get to know better.
A gentle but meaningful touch on the arm
Guess what? If somebody gently and subtly touches your arm when you are first getting to know somebody it says that they want to get to know you better. This is them reaching out to you and even if it’s just a gentle rub against your arm that seems accidental, this is them showing interest in you. They want to say something, but maybe they’re afraid. They want to get to know you better but they want you to make the first move. They want to touch you, but they don’t want to be obvious about it. Yes a touch can mean so much and if it’s on the arm and subtle then this is their way of saying that they like you, they are flirting with you, and it’s time to move forward with the conversation.
That look that says so much without uttering any words
It’s a look that you can’t even put into words, but it generates a bit of electricity. You can look at this person and look into their eyes and it tells you something. You can’t quite put your finger on it, but the way that they gaze at you tells you that they want to get to know you better. Honestly, if they know what they are doing, then that look can speak volumes and they know exactly what they are doing. If there is great interest there, then this look may happen naturally and organically without you even having to try too hard, which is a nice welcome change and so interesting to watch!
Taking great interest in what you have to say
They seem to be on the edge of their seat when you talk and it really makes you feel good. Showing interest and flirting may come in the way that they talk to you or just the way that they listen to you. It can boost your confidence and contribute to your ego a bit, but in the end, it’s just all about keying into this one sign. If they seem to be captivated by what you have to say then recognize that this is a fun form of flirting.
Subtle nonverbal cues that welcome you in to get to know them better
It’s the way that they hold their head, the smile, the way that they may bat their eyelashes, move their hair back, or move into you. It may be that they reposition yourself to listen to you and they don’t cross their arms over their chest ever. They want to appear open to you and this can come in many different ways. It sounds simple enough, but these nonverbal cues are the best way of flirting and the most fun to uncover—learn to enjoy this part of the process and it can lead to relationship happiness!
