I'd like to start off by saying that I don't want to be someone's 'you'll do'. Not looking to rush anything, there is no biological clock ticking ever louder in the background. I've done the family/marriage thing and unfortunately it didn't turn out the way I would've liked. But it's all good. The ex and I are on good terms (well as good as can be) and share custody of the kids. So that being said, I'm not looking for a father for my kids, but more of a good role model that's around : ). I want the real deal - an awesome relationship where the good times make you want to come back for more even where there's bad times. I want the proverbial "best friend" that I can't wait to come home to every day - someone who I would trust my dogs with. Haha, that would really be saying something, as my dogs are like kids to me. I love being outdoors - camping, hiking, fishing, etc. I like the gym, but I also like to cook, so I'm always improving my fitness, but it's so much easier with a partner and motivator. I'm working hard to achieve some personal goals. I have developed good taste in wine and beer, but I have a better appreciation for great conversation watching a sunset over the river. I am a romantic at heart, but I can have a fiery personality, as I'm very strong-willed and independent at times. That being said, one of my favorite feelings is knowing there's someone there I can count on when I'm willing to admit I need help. Reliability, kindness, and patience are factors in developing that trust. Despite my tough exterior, I'm actually very sensitive, and I dislike teasing. Not too picky, as long as there's room for conversation.
