I work as an analyst at a large financial *** was a web application developer in a previous life. I wouldn't say I'm a "computer geek", but I do admit to playing Dungeons & Dragons when I was younger.:) I don't smoke and I drink socially. I'm a bit of a coffee drinker but my main vice is Diet Dr. Pepper.My main interest is music. I play bass and guitar, but mostly a bass player. I'm in a folk/country band playing mostly original material. I've been playing more oldies/muzak/blues for the last few years. I was even in a country band for a while, how about that?-cuban, latin jazz, Indian classical jazz-fusion, Soul, R&B, Blues, world music, and Rock. I can play most of that to some degree except the Indian jazz-fusion music, that's hard stuff. More of a groove player but am known to "push the envelope" a bit.:) Not much into classical music, but I did go through that phase years ago.I go to the used record store often and get anything that looks cool. I've been doing this since the late 80s and I have a ton of stuff. Most of the stuff I buy can be classified as "jazz".I watch some sports. I'm an "old time" hockey fan. I have to admit I was a fan of "sports entertainment" for many years but haven't been following it very much. I know a little too much about the business. I watch auto racing, mostly Formula One. Not much into NASCAR or IRL. I watch ALMS and DTM if I see it on SPEED. I used to compete in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting. I wasn't very competitive though. I lifted at the state championships a couple of times but they let anyone lift there. I haven't lifted for years and a bit out of shape. Believe it or not, I have some athletic ability and I laugh at bodybuilders. :) I may try a comeback in weightlifting.I follow the buckeyes a little. I graduated from there, but am not a die-hard fan. I go to OSU hockey and baseball games from time to time. If you have an extra ticket to football or basketball, you may be able to twist my arm. And I found a couple. I'm a bit of a movie buff. I lean toward action movies and like watching lower budget films. I used to do the $1 movies quite often but haven't gone in a while. I have a pretty good selection of DVDs. Believe it or not, Big Lots is a good place to get them.I'm looking for a long term relationship. probably grab coffee somewhere. Chat, hang out , maybe a movie, go see a local band.

I have been on this site for a long time but I have not found the woman that I want to spend the rest of my life with. My female friends told me that I need to stop being so nice because women these days women want the *** that they can change in to the nice guy they want so if you are a nice guy you have already lost. I don't think that I'm going to be an *** so that I can find a woman that wants change back into the nice guy that I already am. I like doing romantic things because it makes me feel good by making her feel good and happy. I'm looking for the woman who wants to try new things like skydiving, scuba diving, hang gliding, traveling and anything that is an adventure. I have a bunch of fun date ideas for the right person who wants something a little more exciting than going to the movies. A lot of them are more on the romantic side. I've never been a big dater so not sure this is for me-. This doesn't seem very natural to me but everyone swears by it so gonna give it a go. Not a whole lot of gray area for me in the past. But in a nutshell- I prefer white, thin, 5'6" & up. Im pretty independent and am social but definitely a homebody at the same time. As I've gotten older, I definitely enjoy my "me" time more. So besides work, or the gym. I do love meeting and talking with new people wherever I go. I think nyc is a tough place to meet people and make new friends- not sure why. I am health conscious- played sports all my life Love the outdoors. (But not the sleep in a tent, With no shower) Perfect world, I'd live on the beach- or on a lake (but gonna have to wait for that a little bit I think). Looking for someone who's confident, cares about their appearance, successful, (doesnt mean money- just good at what they do) athletic, independent, intelligent and somewhat laid back. A good sense of humor is important in addition to someone I can have a good conversation with. Ideal woman- will hang out on the couch, or be able to go out to dinner or a movie. Also someone who is friendly to others (even strangers) who likes hanging with friends (and can deal with mine). Don't worry I don't have have lots of them. I am also very old-fashioned, in the sense that I don't make the first move. My perfect first date is certainly no re-invention of the wheel - but, I'd like to keep it simple and classic.... Or anything, or anywhere that is comfortable with the other person to get to know each other. Nothing overly fancy - just, getting to know another person. One where there is a connection and laughter. The conversations flows naturally and we look forward to seeing each other again.
