1. Longest hug – 24 hours 33 minutes

The longest hug was achieved by Ron O'Neil and Theresa Kerr at Centennail Beach in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. In June 2010 they locked arms for 24 hours 33 min to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

2. Longest kiss - 58 hours 35 minutes

The longest kiss lasted 58 hours, 35 minutes and 58 seconds and was achieved by Ekkachai Tiranarat and Laksana Tiranarat on 12-14 February 2013 in Thailand. The couple wasn't allowed to sit, rest or snooze, and even had to go for bathroom breaks while kissing. However, their efforts were fully rewarded with a cash prize, two diamond rings and the Guinness World record title.

3. Most marriage vow renewals – 106 times

Lauren and David Blair from Hendersonville, Tennessee, USA, first met in 1982 and were instantly smitten with each other. In the summer of 1984 the couple got married for the first time in Topanga Canyon, California. Since then Lauren and David have renewed their vows 106 times, each ceremony taking place in a different location.

When asked why they continuously renew their vows, Lauren says: “We knew we were meant for each other and wanted to continually share that vow experience. I love to look into David's eyes as he is repeating his vows. I know that this man will love me until the day I die. Of course, David will tell you that he does it for the honeymoons!”

4. Longest dance marathon by a couple - 38 hours 30 minutes

Love dancing with your partner? Try doing it for over a day, just like Brett and Jennifer Griswold did in Hawaii, USA, from 6 to 7 December 2015. Being dance instructors, Brett and Jennifer performed the Argentine tango for 38 hours 30 minutes to raise money for the National Federation of the Blind.

5. Longest honeymoon – 675 days

Adventurous New Yorkers, Mike and Anne Howard, spent 675 days travelling the world after they decided that a two-week holidays just wasn't enough. The Howards logged a total of 125,675 miles, 140 hikes, 105 buses, 72 luxury hotels, 41 safaris, 39 scuba dives, 12 extreme sports, 8 glacier treks and 6 volunteer projects. All in all, the couple visited 302 places across 33 countries, turning their honeymoon into the adventure of a lifetime.
