Hello,After a long hiatus, I am venturing back online. Like most, I prefer to meet the old-fashioned way - at a party, an event, even a bar, when you know immediately if there's chemistry and everyone looks better after a few drinks ;) However, I've been told this is the way it's done these days. So let's jump in. About me:Easy-going, kind-hearted, down-to-earth, intelligent, drama-free, independent, financially secure, and sane. Looking for same.I like to cook/bake and not half bad if I say so myself. I have never given anyone food poisoning. (If that's not a testament, I don't know what is.) I enjoy gardening and love spending a morning at the farmer's market. I should mention I am a vegetarian in case that's a deal breaker. I keep fit by walking and have recently taken up jogging. I just finished run/walking my 1st 5K (it's a work in progress). It was a great motivator so I'm already planning my next 5K. And of course I like live music. Who doesn't? It's great to stumble across some local joint and find yourself listening to some amazing band. Rock, jazz, blues - it's all good. Most consider me low maintenance. My taste runs towards jeans and beer, but I love a good red and clean up pretty well when the occasion calls for it. After a long work week, I like to make the most of my weekends either working around the house (recently recaulked my shower - very proud of that), having dinner with friends, or weekend getaways hiking in the mountains or spending a day at the beach. Now about you...No couch potatoes. Not asking for gym fanatics, just someone that stays in shape and is healthy.No games please.Settled with a good sense of self - if still trying to find yourself, please find it elsewhere.Sense of Humor is a must and hopefully similar to mine.Honest in all things.Bottom line... it's a big world and a lot left to experience. It would be great to meet that special guy that not only had a few similar interests as me, but also someone with a willingness to share a few of their own and up to discover new things together. First off, I do not think I am God's gift to every man....but I do think I am God's gift to one man. Somewhere out there is exactly the match that was created for me and vise versa. Everyone you meet will not be relationship material...so call it what it is. I am looking for the one, but I am not opposed to making some great friends along the way. I am not looking for a man to pay my bills, play daddy to my daughter or mow my lawn. I have all of that under control. I need a man to enjoy life with me, laugh at stuff that only we would understand and have some degree of meaningful conversation. I always seem to fall for the guy with an attitude or at the very least overstated confidence. Wish that fact were not true, but it is what it is. Travel is my passion and I would like someone who wants to experience the world. Cruising is one of my favorite vacations, but I would love to see all of Europe someday as well as Australia, New Zealand and the Mediterranean. I am very frugal in most other areas of my life, but I think travel is worth the splurge. I do not have pictures on here of my pets, my house, my cars, or my watercraft. If I need all of that to impress you, I am perfectly content being single. And when you picture yourself in a group with the caption "guess which one I am"......ummmmmmm, you are the ugly one or you would not hide yourself in a group!! lol .....a joke (thus the sarcasm spoke of in paragraph two comes out).If you have described yourself as non-religious, there is no need to respond. My belief in God and my effort to live a Christian life are a priority. It may sound crazy, but the one that God has intended for me is out there. I may not know him, but I pray for him every day that God will lead, guide and protect him until He sees fit to have us cross paths. If you are looking for a one-night stand or a hook-up, also no need to respond. If you have ever, or think you may ever, have an interest in men please do not respond. I do not and I will not "understand". And yes, I have run into that situation, more than once, on here. It would be nice if your profile reflected a little capitalization and punctuation...not a deal killer, but it would be extra credit. DEAL KILLERS:Smokers....just not for me.
