Maybe the internet is where the good men are hiding out... I'm still plenty more tough than your native Cali girl, but my NY fam thinks I've turned into a wimp.. I'm guessing the truth is that I fall somewhere in the middle. I'm extremely kind and nurturing - shirt off my back type of person. I try to spend my days growing, learning, improving, reading everything I can get my hands on, appreciating the now, indulging in simplicities, saying "yes" as often as possible, smiling at every possible moment, exploring new food, wine, cities, books and people. I believe that less is usually more, and most of us already possess everything we need to be happy. (With the exception of certain things that I don't consider music. *cough*LilWayne*cough*). Actually, I put a good deal of time into listing my "interests" up top, so if you're curious as to what type of activities/music/etc. I like, you can find them up there.Things I don't like are:Smokers, spelling/grammar errors, liars, people who aren't nice to strangers, people who blame others/the world for their misfortunes, people who don't like children, roaches, cilantro (I'm allergic), most of today's Top 40, those new baggy leggings some girls are wearing that are loose on the top and tight at the bottom (wtf??), the fact that chivalry is probably dead, super picky eaters, owners of poorly behaved dogs, bath tubs, and tequila. .......Up until this point I've always said/thought I knew exactly what I wanted - and maybe I do. Maybe that's exactly what I'll end up with. But at this juncture in my life I'm really open to just seeing where the wind takes me. Don't get me wrong, I very much want to fall into all-consuming love with a super sexy, romantic, man's man and make a bunch of babies one day, but I believe there's a lot of truth to that saying "Man plans and God laughs". So I'm just going with it for now.When it comes down to it, I'm really just an ordinary girl (ordinary = pretty unique and actually kind of wonderful), looking for an ordinary guy to have some extraordinary experiences with. And I think where ever that takes us is right where we're supposed to be.And as we bid adieu, I leave you with this:"When you're tired of relationships, try a romance." There is this country song I remember from when I was a kid, "I ain't the Woman in Red, I ain't the Girl Next Door, But if it's somethin' in the middle that you're lookin' for, Well I'm that kind of Girl" I think it sums me up rather well. I'm a Theatrical Technician. Which is fancy for the person who does all the stuff behind the scenes. Everything from building the sets, painting them, decorating them, designing, making costumes, ect. It has been my passion since high school and I went after it. I am a very passionate person with a hundred interests. I like to approach life with open arms and try new things. I enjoy spending time watching movies, reading books, shooting a bow, cooking(well usually baking), spending time with friends, and enjoying just being silly. Oh, and I am a ticklish cuddling addict. Presently I am working on extending my knowledge into pyrotechnics. I am hoping to have my license some time in the next few months so that I can further pursue the field. I'm very open minded in pretty much every aspect of my life. I like movies of every variety, as well as almost type of music. Though at heart I am a country girl. In the summer I am often found trying to get to as many of the country concerts as I can at the local Fairs.I would not consider myself a girlie girl. I've never been one to want to run around in dresses and high heels all the time. At work I can always be found with tools and work gloves on my belt. I love wearing my jeans and being ready to do anything. Be it going to the movies or relaxing, to heading off on an outdoors adventure. I do know how to clean up when the occasion calls for it, I just prefer to make it so when I do, it is more special. A first date to me, can be anything from going out to lunch, coffee, going bowling, to an amusement park, any where that gives an opportunity for both people to be more at ease with each other, but provides enough distraction that it helps take away from those first date jitters and allows us to talk.
