Thanks for reading my profile!!This is my 2ND attempt on meetville. I had to delete my first profile because it was hacked into. So here I go again!!I'm a strong, street smart, but at times gullible woman. Most of the time I have a lot of common sense and insight. I can be a bit shy at first but I warm up fast. I consider myself spiritual ,and down to earth.I am not materialistic, but I do enjoy the finer things in life, like lobster tail in brown butter and a night out on the town. But I do NOT need those things to be happy. I can be a bit blunt, telling it like it is. But I'm not unkind and I hate hurting any one's feelings. Unfortunately I do at times because I don't always think before I open my mouth for the sake of trying to be funny. So I must say I have tasted my foot in my mouth more often then I should. I have a sarcastic ,"bust your Ba##s" quick sense of humor. So I need Someone who can take that and give it right back to me. I really need a guy who can be funny and can make me laugh as well as "gets me". Funny not corny!! OR Crude! I am a lady and expect to be treated and spoken to like one. I need to have the initial attraction to someone in order to take the next step to get to know you. I will admit I tend to be picky. If you were to ask me my "type"I would say, Darker hair with a great smile and eyes that I can look into without wanting to look away for some unexplained reason. Confused yet??I'm looking for a honest, true to himself man. Please don't respond if you are a substance abuser or smoke cigarettes, or if you are just looking for casual sex. I have learned that anything worth having in life takes work and compromise.And when you find the right one he or she should be able to bring out the best of you. Love should not make you feel bad about yourself in anyway.I love doing anything outdoors. I enjoy mountain biking,tennis,and anything at the beach, long walks. A night in front of the fireplace with a chilled appletini is a favorite winter night for me. I love classic rock and like going to see any great cover band and being wild for the night!! I am always open to trying new things. I am a hard worker and not afraid to get my hands dirty . But I am also a girly girl, and love to dress up for a night on the town with my man. Depending on the situation or activity, I can be low-key and reserved or high-energy. And, it's difficult to compare myself with others but I feel I'm in very good physical shape...I enjoy hiking, cycling (road cycling and rail-trails) and still use my cross-country skis. My preference would be to enjoy your company and get to know you while we spend time together outdoors...why don't we meet up to go kayaking, canoeing, hiking, or sailing together? (There are many rivers and lakes to explore in Pa.) When I have any free time, I prefer spending it outdoors or going to concerts. I studied visual arts in college and taught arts & humanities for most of my career.- June through mid- At some point, I would like to ..canoe in the Adirondackes, sail anywhere, hike in the White Mts. of NH, Shining Rock Wilderness Area in NC or State Parks in Pa., do some star-gazing in remote areas, and find time to draw/paint outdoors. I've had to be practical while raising my daughter and have stuck it out for her (in the middle of nowhere and hours from anywhere). Now that I can retire..or cut back to an easier part-time job, I will have more time to travel. I am seeking direction on this site (but, I wonder is this too idealistic or unrealistic?..).), enjoy the outdoors, learn a folk ***, and spend more of my free time volunteering. Music: americana 'roots', folk, world, celtic, swing/big band, some rock. Favorite recent songs: 'That's the way love goes.' (Shawn Colvin &; Ride). Books: currently reading The Plot Against America. Favorite books last year: The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America's Great Migration, Blink, Outliers. It's also nice to get together for an activity such as a hike.

I like to say that I try to live life to the fullest & best suited with an adventurous man aged ***as I am 57. After enjoying adventure in Thailand last year, I was ready to concentrate again on visiting world class cities via home exchange in Europe or elsewhere. So for future adventures, I have not yet been to NW Europe, St. Tenerife off of Spain with an incredible parrot refuge is an island I will go to again. My current favourite activities include what's below but the more I do them myself or rely on girlfriends to go with the more I think of eliminating some. Please let me know what you are passionate about that is on my list.skiing Whistler on a powder day, sojourning or travel to other world class cities via home exchange, open to trying contra dance this year at St. James, cooking and eating healthy whole food meals, reading non-;; Follies, snorkeling the G.B.R and Koh Tao.-retired / retired person, I manage my own investments both real estate and financial, so I can take my job with me if a ***month (or longer) home exchange comes available. I also am working on making my life easier and more fun so only doing the above very part time ***months per year is my goal. Exchanging lives worldwide has been very rewarding over the years. But I am open to alternate guided and/or adventure travel suggestions from a new fun travel partner. I have gotten a lot of travel desires out of my system since ***so I am very relaxed about the need to travel.When it is time to chill out, I would rather listen to music in front of a fire or view rather than watch TV unless there is an excellent foreign streaming video. I can also enjoy reading a good book or my kindle in front of a fire or view. And I do have a nice chessboard that has not been used in a long time.I value most loyalty, honesty, integrity, family and friendships. Giving back is important to me.I have had 2 very long term relationships. One for 17 years with the father of my son who now has his own 2 children, my grandchildren. The second relationship with my adventure partner lasted 22 years and only personal circumstances parted us not our compatible desire to be true to our adventurous selves. My father played the harmonica, violin, and the mandolin at home when I was growing up so I gained an appreciation for many kinds of live music with lots of arrangements. I particularly love Improv jazz and blues, classical, rock and roll, Latin, & Zydeco. My parents also had me dancing at the Queen E theater so dancing brings out the kid in me. I love it too. What am I looking for? ALERT I am not interested in "Friends with benefits" The goal is to find someone who can align with me so we can build a great adventurous lifestyle together but we still have separate homes. I love being in nature but I must be near the city for all it offers as well. ALERT I tried to change the age that shows on the profile last fall and assumed I succeeded but did not check. While I am grateful for looking very young for my age, the age should read 57.
