Men that I have been serious with have all been different in many ways. Most of the men I have been attracted to are athletic and good looking at least to me. My 21 year old son lives with me some of the time and enjoy the time I spend with him.( which isn't much) I am a teacher part time. I also tutor at an after school program. I used to ride and train horses at the racetrack. I lived many places in the eastern part of the country. I loved living near the beach and traveling. I returned home after an injury and completed college. I live independently and would like to have someone special in my life. I like to be outdoors, riding my horse in the woods. Wow, I thought I had to fill in a couple of blanks but here it goes.... off the top of my head, the first thing about me that you should know is that I have a strong faith in the Lord. That really defines who I am. I have been a Christian since 1982 and while at times I revert back to my old ways like frustration or a bad thought about someone , I really don't know how I would have made it through these years without Him. So, I am looking for a fellow who shares my love for the Lord and who thinks that spending time together reading the Word and doing devotion would be something very intimate and special. I am a proud mother of two grown sons who recently made me a Nana to three little grandbabies. These wee ones are the joys of my life! They all live close together, within an hour of me so I get to have a lot of hands on time with them which has been very important to me. I want to establish a strong relationship with them ,while they are little, that will last forever. Family is so important to me and I am looking for a man who feels the same way. I am prepared to welcome his family into my life and love them as my own. I adore all animals with dogs and horses as my absolute favourites! I currently have two rescue dogs who have been my best friends for many years. next to the Lord, they have kept me company when life has been dark and lonely. I have always supported animal rescue organizations and had a dream of one day owning enough land to work with the SPCA to be able to take both large, small and feral animals as a rescue operation and care for them as a foster home until they are rehabilitated and can be rehomed. That would be a dream come true. I have recently lost a great deal of weight. I am working hard to be as physically fit as I can be. With God's help I have overcome a disease that caused the excess weight and it has been a long road. Now, that I am almost completely free of any excess weight, I am excited about all the activities I can do again. I have been able to take up bicycling again and my dogs bought me golf clubs for Christmas! :-) My son bought me a set of snow shoes that I had fun with this past winter!-lining, hiking, riding horses again, skijoring (cross country skiing with dogs), boating, kayaking, canoeing, etc.... There is a whole world of adventure out there. I use my elliptical almost every day and take my large size dogs for a run fo 1- Friendship is very special to me and once someone is truly my friend they are a friend for life. Those friends are still special to me even after 30 years. By the way, I love humour of all sorts except cruel or rude humour. Somewhere fun for a date would the zoo, a museum, a great gallery or some place similar where we would have a focus other than just each other. Some place fun we could share, laugh and enjoy our time together and slowly open up to each other in comfortable circumstances. Eventually, we could attend each other's church services and other more intimate outings

Hi,I enjoy all kinds of adventures from hiking, kayaking, X-country skiing and snowshoeing to travel, travel, TRAVEL! I studied photography many years ago. My goal was to travel the world taking photographs of people in their native lands. Unfortunately that didn't work out but I still love photography!I have had the great opportunity to live in a number of countries and I plan to do a lot more of that as I look towards my future. My goal, when I retire, is to pick an area each year and spend 5.5 months getting to know it.My interests vary, from education to photography, food and wine and music. Though I don't play any instruments, I love to listen to music, especially at outdoor venues. I love that there is so little policing... we can bring in our coolers, umbrellas and blankets and spend the weekend, without incident, enjoying world music. I also love yoga, going to the Symphony, theatre, cinema and star-gazing.It's been a while since I've been in a relationship and it's time to spread my wings and meet someone. This is my first step. I am definitely looking for someone who is adventurous, grounded, kind, athletic, funny and generous of spirit. You must have a good group of friends and be willing to get to know mine. I am looking for someone who is also very secure and confident. I am looking for a relationship that is based on inter-dependence and not dependence. One that allows for space, but on the other hand after a long day of work I want to get in my car and feel as if I can't wait to get home to see my best friend and lover! Not just in the beginning, but after years of time together. Everyone always says that a good relationship requires soooo much work and effort! If it's such an effort and a struggle, you may just be with the wrong person! I think that when you find the right person the relationship is like a puzzle and just fits nicely together. I work as a health educator in corporate health and wellness, still do some personal training and still teach at a local YMCA so I am very passionate about staying active and fit! I am also a triathlete and enjoy both the training and the competition. If you are a sedentary person, I can tell you that this will not work out. I am very high energy and although you don't have to be a triathlete I am looking for the same in my partner. I also want someone who loves to laugh and have fun! Life is way too serious and we all need to let go once and while and just enjoy!
