I'm finishing up my third year of college in the Amherst MA area, but have grown up 20 mins outside of Philly in the suburbs. My interests are languages (Spanish, Italian) and music (listening to it). Additionally, I really like cats and am clutzy not in the cute movie way but more like the knock everything over, walk into a door kind of way (recently walked into a door, it happens). I tend to be into older women but don't rule out folks by age or other characteristics. I definitely consider myself femme and ultimately attracted to other femmes but again, I don't like to limit myself by saying only, but rather recognize that this fits me and my likes presently and that could very well change (or it could not). I try to keep an open mind and am really looking for the same either in friends or something more than that. That being said, I would love to find new friends, friendship can be a great stepping stone to a relationship or it can simply mean I find other people to be part of my life whom I'm not romantically involved with, which is always great. Personally, I gear on the side of monogamy. I recognize within casual dating the idea is to not engage in a serious commitment, but there would need to be a discussion for some very practical reasons (STDs), and just to be on the same page (I don't like to be casually dating without knowing I am, or that I am thinking something will be more whereas the other person is dating other people, I prefer honesty to being kept in the dark). If I engage in a relationship with you, I'm not going to sleep with you for a while and will want to take things slowly in all respects. If this is not something you are ok with or do not respect within the autonomy of consent in relationships, please do not message me. (In a casual dating situation, I would not expect the other person to therefore take all their other relationships at that same pace, they can do as they choose- there would just need to be a practical discussion for the reasons previously cited above). And for anyone looking for long term. I do not want children. This could absolutely change but it has been pretty consistent for the bulk of my life. I have no problem with my partner having children, I just do not wish to have any of my own and would need to be with someone who respects that and ideally doesn't want to have (more) children- so neither one of us is being deprived of something they really desire for purposes of maintaining a relationship. Ok, I've written a book here so that's enough about me. (Please be a reader in some capacity, you could read fanfiction, you could read scientific journals about astrophysics, listen to audiobooks, or really dig some slam poetry- it would be hard for me to be with someone who is not somehow engaged in some form of literature). Major bonus points if you speak another language (doesn't have to be Spanish or Italian but that is obviously cool if the case). Global perspectives are important and I feel very limited in an English mindset, so I really hope to further develop my already established interests more profoundly with my partner, whomever that may be and however that may manifest. TLDR: Femme, liberal seeks (ideally and not only) other femme, preferibly older with some common interests for casual or long term dating who is ok with taking it slow on the physical side and some honest communication in the rapport. Cat people especially valued.
