Started working full time again 2 years ago after 14 yrs off. I forgot what a big, wide, wonderful world there is out there. I love good food and good company. I owned horses till I was 29 and love to ride. My grandparents and mother were art and antique appraisers. they also owned a gallery. I bought my first painting at an auction at 13. I love the arts all types. Yes I would like to get married again someday. I could meet him in 5 years or tomorrow. I just have to take that first step.

I am 48 and have been single for the past 15 years. I am just looking for a nice guy who loves football and traveling to especially the beach. I enjoy photography very much. I have one child who is 23 and living out of State and most of my friends are married so I am looking for companionship and someone to hang out with that could perhaps lead to more some day. I know this is a really simple description but it is really that simple.I love music and I am not much for dancing at all. I am kind of shy about stuff like that. I am just a really normal person. If you are a young 55 year old great but if you have already become an old man in your ways then I would not be the girl for you. I get that guys love their motorcycles but I doubt I would enjoy that. I would be more of the lets got to a tropical Island and rent Vespas kind of girl. Guys 35 seem to get my taste in music better as I love alternative music and new music very much. But I have been to shows where I see people my age and I want to go and hang out with them! lol :) I like some old music from the past two but I tend to be more progressive with my musical taste. If you are stuck back in your past and have not kept up with the times we probably would not be a good fit. I am 5'6" and taller than me is good...lol ! ;)I don't want to jump into a relationship after the first date. If the feeling is mutual it will happen naturally. I don't enjoy having men ask me questions about making out and sex as I don't think that is being a gentleman. I think that true relationships take time to develop and it has to be mutual. Flirting is good when you know or have a feeling the person is cool with that. I am very independent but that does not mean I do not want to be part of someone's life someday. Oh and just because I don't want children does not mean that I do not like children. I just don't intend on having anymore obviously. lol :) I would love to meet a guy who is excited about traveling and just living life.I look forward to meeting you and talking further. I'm quite Independent. If your looking for a "needy" person? I'm Not it. I like to be treated like a lady, but I don't expect a gentleman to pick up the tab. Dutch Treat is a wonderful option. My friends describe me as a generous kind person, that works just a little bit too much. So "driven" is a word that could describe me. I've owned a few businesses in my life and don't mind getting my hands dirty whether is working in the garage or making home improvements. My home I own outright. I worked hard to achieve that and am proud that it only took me 15 years to pay off the mortgage. I have no debt except a car payment and live within my means... I am not looking for financial stability... I have that all on my own. I do want someone special in my life that I can share my personal time with. I list a lot of hobbies that men would enjoy (see interests). I am a Freak about FISHING. lol I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT... What I'm not into and this is a deal breaker.... if you focus most of your hobbies on car racing and motorcycles I am not for you... Lord Knows I've tried but just not going to happen as an interest for me (maybe occasionally). I just think there ought to be a man out there that enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, football, hockey, golf, baseball and not put me thru cars and motorcycles except in small doses. enough said. . I DO NOT LIKE TO SHOP (unless its a good flea market or garage sale) I am a bit of a homebody but that is because I have a disabled adult son at home. I am looking for a comfortable companion for a weekly night out maybe more without drama. I absolutely love to pamper a man whether it is cooking dinner, or giving a massage (once I know you), I'm 49 and for that age I'm pretty well maintained but no beauty queen. I do want a man that takes care of his appearance but a few extra pounds is ok by me. LOL I enjoy an intelligent conversation about what is going on in the world so being up on current events is a nice quality as I'm a bit of a "news junkie". I love Military History. I do enjoy cooking and baking so if you have a kitchen at some point I'm going to be wanting to rattle the pans. :) My sons are the joy of my life. I lost their father when they were 4 to cancer and I lost my long time companion who helped raise them a few years ago in an accident. My social life is pretty quiet, dinner out with friends, coffee out, a movie, concert am very content with a movie and popcorn at home. . I am a very passionate woman but don't rush into anything. Looking for a friendship first and take it from there. “A date can start anytime of day... Coffee at my favorite coffee shop at about 630am before the work day starts is a great way to start to get to know someone”
