Nothing Can Force Americans to Change Their Religion
Nowadays religion still plays a role in our lives. This was revealed by a survey carried out by Meetville (dating app to find the right person).
The poll was held from 4/14/14 to 8/13/14 and posed the question: “Is religion an outdated notion?”, to which the responses were: Yes - 37% and No - 63%.
The number of respondents was 73, 447. From the USA - 56%, from Canada - 4%, from Britain - 11%, Australia - 6% and other countries - 23%.
Michael Wakelin, Religion Expert and Media consultant, assumes that in spite of a slight decline of religion in the modern age, it by far hasn’t lost its influence in the society.“Everyone finds religion relevant at some point or other in their lives, because it provides the kind of answers that have stood the test of time”, remarks Michael.
According to the statistics collected by Meetville.com more men than women think that religion is outdated, the distribution of votes was as follows: male - 81%, female - 19%.
Alex Cusper, Meetville service analyst, relates the figures to the fact that women are considered to be more religious than men. “Women have a greater responsibility for rearing children, by nature they take fewer risks than men and therefore seek to conform to the group's religious identity rather than venture out on their own.”, says Alex.
