People Support the Judge Who Threatened the Convicted
People think what judge John McBain did wasn't wrong. In the period between 5/26/14 and 9/2/14 Meetville.com (dating app to find the right person) released a poll to measure public opinion on this case and alike.
During the poll people were asked to respond to the following question: “Are the words of a judge who tells a killer: ‘I hope you die’ too harsh?” 57% said “No” and agreed that the killer deserved it.
Onan Coca, Author at Eagle Rising, comments: “Reaction of people was split between people who thought the judge should be more disconnected from the case, and those who believed he acted in an appropriate manner. Majority believes he was justified in acting the way he did. Gamet is a vicious killer who took advantage of a man who loved her and then showed the court and the victim’s family no respect. In this very case, the judge’s words were not overly harsh; they were simply accurate,” explains Onan.
The total number of respondents was 72,034. From the USA - 48%, from Canada - 5%, from Britain - 14%, from Australia - 8% and from other countries - 25%.
Alex Cusper, Meetville service analyst, says: “Although the case stirred controversy, it also brought people to realize that judges and lawyers have a very personal connection to every murder trial they participate in, so it’s hard to always act in a dispassionate manner. The words of the judge have made him an online sensation and a cult-hero to many Americans.”
