Everyone knows that LA is kinda mega-city. No surprise, we can call this place a capital of entertainment for the world. There are so many amazing places to see and visit that it's sometimes a real headache to choose one for a date with your special one. If you want to impress your date and make the evening outstanding, you just have to look at our Top-7 of the best date night destinations in the city of angels.

1. Spend your romantic night in Disneyland

Disneyland is not a place that usually comes to mind when you are thinking of where to take a date. But, you can still enjoy this incredible place as an adult going with someone special. Disneyland is most romantic at night, so better check the Disneyland website to see what time the park closes when you want to go. Remember that Southern California can get chilly at night even if it was hot during the day, so bring a light jacket or sweater for you and/or your date, even if it’s hot during the day. You can as well see the fireworks, they are awesome! The best place to see the fireworks is from somewhere in the Main Street area. We hope you follow these suggestions, and you’ll be on your way to an amazing date time at Disneyland!

2. Imagine yourself Mr. and Mrs. Smith at Cicada Restaurant

Even if you haven’t heard of the Cicada, you’ve seen it in movies like “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”.  Stepping inside this amazing art-deco space is like traveling in a time machine back to 1930.  Formerly a men’s clothing store, it’s now a restaurant, featuring Italian and American dishes. On the top floor is a bar serving cool vintage drinks. On certain nights (about once a week), the restaurant turns into “The Cicada Club”, featuring vintage 1920’s and 30’s bands with Swing dancing in the front floor. There is a dress code on these nights. Men must wear suit and tie.  Women, cocktail dress or suit.  There is no dance lesson, so brush up in your East Coast Swing beforehand.

3.  Strolling around The Pine Avenue Pier

One of the most romantic places in Los Angeles is the Pine Avenue Pier and surrounding area.  To get there, take the 710 South and follow the signs to Shoreline Drive. There are several parking structures around Pine avenue. If you have an afternoon to spare, you can check out the Aquarium of the Pacific, open from 9AM to 6PM most days of the year. But actually, what can  be better than strolling around the Pine Avenue Pier area waterfront around sunset? The views of the ocean, sky, lighthouse, boats, and the Queen Mary will be spectacular around dusk! Take your date there and watch those views together!

4. Make your date feel à la française at Perch Restaurant

Perch is an amazing rooftop restaurant and lounge overlooking Pershing square. This place has a lot of buzz these days, but for good reason. The view is amazing and the food is just delicious. Later at night the bar gets packed and is practically impossible to get into. But if you make a reservation - you will have an unforgettable experience with your date!

5. Have a romantic dinner on Ocean Avenue

Santa Monica is an obvious and popular destination for hanging out with friends or someone special. The best date spot in Santa Monica is dinner on Ocean avenue. It’s removed from the crowds on the Promenade, but still very happenin’ on a weekend evening, and a lot more romantic.  There are tons of great restaurants to choose from. Some of the most tempting are Herringbone, Ivy at the Shore, and the Water Grill. As you will see, there are tons of things to see and do after dinner near Ocean Avenue!

6. Try some special sushi at Sugarfish by Sushi Nozawa

Some people say that Sugarfish by Sushi Nozawa has the best sushi in Santa Monica, and you would probably agree. Their signature is the warm sushi rice. It’s sooo good! If you hate deciding, you can choose a set menu of sushi chosen by the chef. You will not be disappointed. Sugarfish is located on 2nd Street north of Santa Monica Boulevard.

7. Prime attraction for sport lovers - Staples Center

Even if you're not a huge sports fan, you will be impressed by the amenities of the Staples Center when you go to see the L.A. Kings play there.  This sports stadium is way more impressive than many others in the US, and even the nosebleed seats have a pretty good view! Next door, LA Live offers lots of great restaurant options, perfect for grabbing a bite before a game or before a concert at Microsoft Theater.  And of course, one of everyone's favorite things to do is to go ice skating there during the winter.
