Okay here goes.... No I am not a big boxing fan, but I didn't want to sound entirely as a used car salesman trying to pass a Yugo off as a Ferrari. Okay maybe that is enough with the metaphors for now. Here is the scoop, I was married for 15 years, off the market for 17, and never thought I would find myself back on the dating scene again. So please forgive me if I seem a little rusty. Who am I... That is a good question perhaps best summed up as an old fashioned gentleman, in a modern society where chivalry seems to be dying, along with a plentiful dash of romantic and passionate. Yes I like to hold the door for a lady, open the car door for my date, offer my jacket, order and chew her food for her. Okay well maybe not the last part. My biggest thing is making sure that whom I am with feels safe and comfortable with me. I get along pretty well with most everyone, and am a pretty down to earth guy. I am very open minded and enjoy trying new and different things. I have lived a modest adult life. I was self employed for 14 years, got married young at 23, had my children early, and did what was expected of me. I have learned that life is too precious to be so serious and stressful all the time. My eyes were opened when I lost my second business in ***. Since then I have learned to enjoy new adventures and the simple pleasures in life. I do enjoy being active during the day whether it is a day with my children who are a big part of my life, a weekend of hiking, taking dance lessons or trying something new. I also enjoy downtime in the evenings, whether is it curled up on the couch with someone catching a movie or television show, or maybe playing a game, or even lighting a fire on the deck and enjoying a conversation over a glass of wine or beer, and gazing at the stars. I should forewarn you that I tend to have a dry and sarcastic sense of humor. Otherwise I am self sufficient, and do not need anyone to take care of me. I can clean, do laundry, even iron, enjoy cooking, along with work on the car, fix up the house, and work in the yard. I am comfortable in jeans and t-shirt, and enjoy dressing up too. Even though I don't have a membership to a gym, I do watch my figure, and when traveling do tend to hit the hotel gym. In the past year I have managed to donate my 34" waist pants to my church thrift shop, for 31" pants.I am hoping to meet someone who would like to enjoy activities and new adventures with me. I would like a best friend, confidant and lover. I hope to find someone who is as comfortable in a dress or skirt as jeans and shorts. I feel that I should also add since some women seem to be looking for children, that I had a vasectomy over 10 years ago. I have ***of mine own and have no problems if you already have children, I truly am not looking for anymore. Also, I would hope that after reading a little about me you understand that I am not here for one night stands, hookups or fwb situations. However, when that time comes in a relationship I am very passionate, creative, sexual and giving. Yes I do miss snuggling against someone, but I prefer to let chemistry and those things happen naturally. That means maybe you and I missed out on meeting one another, when we should have, and never fell in love with one another, had ***babies and had our own reality show on ABC for having that many kiddos.

Everyday I wake up in the perfect bed in the perfect house and drive the perfect car to the perfect job. perfect is always subjective but you know what i mean. So far this site has been an exercise in ridiculousness. I am 38 and tired of people with changing personalities. I am looking for a person who is who she is right out of the gate. I respect all forms of music but favor bands such as meshuggah, gojira, the red chord, and static x. At the same time i enjoy music from the 30's and 40's. I've never been much of a drinker but a couple of times a year I do it and believe me I do it right. I don't care for bars in the least but do find myself drug to a few here and there. I play guitar in a band but don't hold that against me as i find it to be more rewarding then having a bowling night. In alot of ways I would describe myself as your typical former stoner who decided things are more important and in my opinion have done very well with my life as i am grateful for how things have turned out. I would like to find a good woman who has a sense of dedication, appreciation for the benefits of a healthy relationship, and wants a true partnership as a companion and best friend. i have played the games with the girls who say they want these things and turn out to be party girls who have to get drunk every weekend and settle with their lives being barely enough to survive. Is there anyone out there who wants the nice place in the country, two nice vehicles in the drive freshly washed, kids playing in the yard and a secure future. the life our grand parents enjoyed. maybe I'm naive, but thats ok. it's warm in this bubble. It saddens me that they can't be a part of our every day but such is life. being with someone with children is always a delicate situation starting out. but if done correctly can be a very rewarding thing in itself. And speaking from experience the hardest part of it all is that if the relationship comes to an end you do miss those kids from the past relationship as life goes on. It's all a very bittersweet outcome. Oh yeah and one more thing. If you can't be my friend above all else forget about it. I promise i am the chillest person you will ever meet and i like to think i approach every situation with a cool head, logic and reason. I am a product of the 90's and in many ways will come across sarcastic and harsh as I refuse to tell you what you want to hear as opposed to the real truth. but i assure you that all ( **stardry ) is given with a smile. I am your not so typical - typical male. the more wrong something is the funnier USUALLY. I love a good random imagination out of people, as these things keep our lives unique. I like to think i am still influenceable to the right people and situation because who wants to be the EXACT same person for the rest of their life? lets continue to grow in who we are and be better people for it. heres the blah blah blah I don't dig sports. this includes pretty much anything you can think of. better things to spend my time doing. i don't fish because, well i mean come on really, phhht. I'm not going hunting i don't care what you say....... more to come as i think of it. Although camping is the best! going places out of state or whatever is always fun. i have been to most states and love it out west. campfires with friends and cool strangers. thats what I'm talking about! !. caring 2. honest 3. respectful 4. emotionaly avalible 5. passionate 6. funny damnit! 7.even tempered 8. cheerful 9. and now with 25% less calories And if you act in the next 15 minutes you'll get this commemorative alarm clock. operators are standing by. Well i think the fun of talking to a person a few times will bring out whats called for on that first date. there is always the good old sand by of dinner and a movie. but things can get creative.
