I have a very busy life so that has relegated me to the world of online dating. Here's what I've learned so far. Some women want to be pen pals, are looking for a sugar daddy, or are using their HS pics. If any of these are you, I'm not interested. The other observation I have is this. Women say they want a lot of things... Smart, funny, family guy, Christian man, etc... but many really just want sex. I'm actually kind of shocked. Once again, if that's you, I am not interested. I'm beginning to think I will not find anyone serious online but... Live in hope, not in fear. So, if you survived my rant and you're funny, intelligent, crazy enough to be fun but not committed, enjoy trying new things, and want a real man that will treat you the way a woman should be treated and not play games, then read on. I'm intelligent, funny, laid back, got a decent job and am very active in my kids' lives. In my free time, I like to spend time with my girls, listen to music, work out, go to concerts or sporting events, and cook. I'll cook if you do the dishes, lol... Better yet, I'd rather you cook with me. I also love the outdoors and the peacefulness it has to offer. I look at life a little different than most and am able to live life on life's terms - not much gets to me. God has a plan for me so why worry. I try to live life to its fullest, and believe in trying new things. I will try almost anything once (keyword: almost). I'm big on continual improvement and am willing to own my part in things. I am not controlling or jealous and I don't really have a "type" of woman that I'm interested in, just be yourself. I believe God has set us all on our own paths in life. Some paths never meet, some miss each other by just a little bit while others cross and some even merge together for a short time or forever. Who knows where paths might lead, but we need to be willing to take that first step for the journey to begin. Our first meeting would be something simple where we can talk and get to know more about each other like coffee, drinks, dinner, or ice cream and a walk in the park.

Ok, I thought I'd try this again and be a little more serious, telling people who I am and what I am looking for. I am an elementary teacher who chose to leave the suburban life of teaching to work in an inner city school where I feel that I can make more of a difference in the lives of the children I previously worked with. Not that students in the suburbs don't have some of their own troubles, but I feel as though having a patient, positive, caring role model is needed exponentially more in the inner city. Yes, some days at work are rough and stressful, but I always try to remember where my students are coming from before judging them in anyway. I am growing to love being with them and our personalities are starting to rub off on one another. :0)That would be my professional life, now on to who I am outside of work. I am an easy going and patient kind of guy who likes movies, the outdoors, camping, hiking, happy hours with friends, going to sporting events (Go Twins, Vikings, and Wild!), I like to play cards, garden, and it seems I'm constantly doing some kind of remodel job on my house, but it's getting close to the way I want it. (Guess I'll need another project soon?) I love my family, spending time with my niece, going to the gym, cooking, playing darts, going to concerts, and trying new restaurants whenever I can. I'd like to travel more, but going alone isn't nearly as fun as having a companion to go along with me!What I'm looking for:I'm looking for someone who is honest, with themselves and me!
