Have not dated in quite some time, and that is due to the fact that my time has been spent between being a mom and finishing my college degree. Most Friday and Saturday nights, for the last three years, consisted of plowing through a book, or looking up articles on JSTOR....no worries if you don't know what that is. I can now say that I am done with the first part of my plan to fulfill my dreams of teaching students that History is actually entertaining. I am being serious. Look at the Roman Emperor Caligula, he waged a war on Poseidon and had his army take their swords to the sea and start slashing it...guy was highly entertaining... ok maybe bat sh*tcrazy but still entertaining. I am a geek at heart, I love to learn and that is what why I want to teach, I get to continue to learn and I can teach students about that knowledge. Our future will depend on these young and they should have ample enough knowledge to lead the world. Now my favorite thing: I am a mom and I love all that it brings. She is my pride and joy and I hate the fact that is growing as fast as she is, but such is life. She is slowly hitting those pre-teen ages which is so much fun (insert sarcasm). She the reason I continue to push myself. I want her to grow up knowing she can change anything she puts her mind to. If you have made it this far...thanks for taking the time to read this. To me a first date is the first time you get to make an impression, and honestly it doesn’t matter if it is a dinner at a nice restaurant, coffee at a local shop, or beer at the sports bar down the street.
