I have to admit, I am very hesitant about this whole online dating thing. I have never had much luck with these sorts of sites, but I do have a hard time meeting people "in real life" because I am quite shy at first. Most people don't believe me when I say that, because I love talking to people and can be pretty outgoing. But when it comes to meeting people that I have an interest in, I often hesitate to make the first move. Just being honest! :) 1. Talk about your hobbies.I like to harass the elderly and steal candy from children. Besides that, I am somewhat of an academic nerd and spend a lot of time researching information to subjects I am interested in. I love learning new things, especially scientific information and psychological research. I am currently in the last year of my bachelors in psychology, and I really do take an interest in the subject. I guess my true hobby is collecting makeup. I've never been a collector of anything really, but in the last couple of years I've really become a fan of makeup and trying out new brands and looks. During the week I tend to look quite casual, but it's always fun to get dolled up every once in a while and feel pretty :)2. Talk about your goals and aspirations. Right now my goal is to finish my degree. I'm studying psychology, which is just an expensive way for me to become a waitress at some point (nothing against waitresses obviously). Contrary to what most people desire when going into the field of psychology, I do not have an aspiration to become a clinical psychologist. Other goals include owning a unicorn some day, and hiring a maid to do all the chores I don't want to do. 3. Talk about yourself and what makes you unique. I'm quite a busy person, but I always make time for fun things. I am a full-time student and am also a volunteer advocate for a local crisis center. As I mentioned earlier, I have an interest in academic topics and for that reason some people may find my interests boring. I truly enjoy having deep, philosophical conversations and often promote skepticism (but not cynisim) and critical thinking. Having said that, I am definitely not boring to hang out with. I have an incredibly facetious sense of humor, in fact, it's probably downright disturbing. I honestly feel that everything has the potential to be funny if put in the correct context. I am not uptight, nor do I offend easily. I try not to take life so seriously or stress myself out over trivial things. Life is too short to worry about the unimportant. 4. Describe your taste in music. Wait... what? Seriously, kill it with fire.FINALLY!If you can spell and have a basic concept of sentence structure, I will fall in love with you immediately. If you like science, Star Trek, and zombies, I will give birth to your babies right here, right now over the internet. I am not kidding, it can happen, so don't even pretend like it can't. I'm up for anything that's legal and fun. Let's go for drinks, or coffee, or go toilet paper trees or something.

I'm an elementary special education teacher and I love my job. I'm very passionate about the sport of ice hockey and usually play several times/week, mostly as a goalie.
