I enjoy anything to do with the arts. I am a writer, photographer, and sometimes actor (Mainly when I'm asked). Musically, I am very diverse in what I listen to, can't play a note, but I love music. I read (what most people who are not readers, consider) a lot. I average about two books a month. So, 24 to 26 books a year. Mostly Mysteries and books on artists - but occasionally other stuff - I've been on a Young Adult kick lately.I enjoy visiting new places. (And love it even more when I have a good navigator.) Politically, I'm am liberal leaning, but somewhat closer to what one would call a moderate. I am employed and have a full time job I like, that pays the bills with a little left over to play with. I sometimes earn extra money through writing, and taking photographs. I am a huge admirer of intelligence and talent, and think it makes a woman even more beautiful.They say not to put anything negative in, but I really don't like kissing smokers, so it's best if you're a non-smoker.Oh, and if you're into theme parks that's a plus in my book. (I minimally like to make a yearly pilgrimage to Disneyland)(And I obviously have a thing for parentheticals)That's me in a nutshell, so if you are interested please bring along a mallet, because it's awfully cramped in here... I usually like to find out what my date is interested in and plan around that. I love movies, but that only leaves the ride there and back, usually - At least with plays, there's an intermission as well.I'm really open to almost everything except Sushi, Starbucks and Hooka Bars... I consider myself to be a casual, fun loving, down to earth person. I don't take myself too seriously and I love to laugh and have fun. I have been separated for a few years now. It is a legal and binding separation and will eventually become a divorce. I have 2 great kids (a 20 year old boy, who is going into his 3rd year of college and a 17 year old girl, who will be a High School senior). They are the biggest part of my life. I try to stay active when I can. I exercise 4 or 5 days a week and I play basketball occasionally. I love to watch sports on TV, as well as attend sporting events. I am a Yankee fan and a fanatical Ranger fan. I have had season tickets to the Rangers since ***. I love to read (when I have the time). I read mostly suspense novels. I love music and, yes, I’m definitely stuck in the 70’s and 80’s in that department! I can’t seem to separate myself from “classic rock”, although I do like current music as well. Besides going to sporting events, I enjoy going to concerts, and movies. I enjoy going out to eat, preferably casual, but I am not opposed to dressing up on occasion to go somewhere nicer. I enjoy going for drinks with friends as well. However, I am also very content to just stay home, especially if I’m around people that I love. I love the beach and the Summer in general. My idea of the perfect vacation spot is anywhere by the ocean that has a nice beach. I believe in feeling young and acting young. I don’t believe that just because we reach a certain age, we need to give up on our youth. The question about "intent'" is tough, as it allows for only one answer. If it becomes a relationship, that's great! If it turns into a friendship, or something casual, that's ok too! What I’m looking for in a friend/companion/mate is somebody who is caring and respectful, somebody I can laugh and have fun with, and somebody who shares, or will try to share, at least some of the interests that I have, as I will certainly try to share some of yours. Have a sense of humor, be friendly, sincere, considerate and honest. Liars are a huge turnoff for me. There is nothing wrong with having self confidence, but PLEASE don’t be full of yourself. I consider myself independent politically. Political opinions are fine, but if you're one of those people who feel the need to turn every situation into a political statement (you know who you are), that does not work for me. Looking forward to meeting you! Difficult to say what I'm looking for in a first date. I guess it would be to enjoy her comany and feel comfortable with her,and to hopefully feel some kind of connection.
