That’s probably the biggest reason I love the outdoors- because I know I’m designed for it.

I take pride in my appearance and have been told many times that I look much better in person than my pictures. I am down to earth, quick witted and playful. I’m comfortable in jeans or dressing up for a night out. I don’t expect to find perfection in a man, as I am not perfect, but I will always strive to be the best me I can be. If we don't seem to be a match, maybe we'll be friends. If we hit it off--even better! Don't be shy! To me a first date is more comfortable when there is something "going on". For ***, a ball game, a movie, a play, etc. I know that doesn't offer much time for conversation, but by the time you get to that first date, I believe you should have had at least a few conversations already. If you are comfortable enough to just hang out with someone that's the great feeling. After your activity, then perhaps some coffee or dinner and conversation. I just don't like that awkward first meeting to be sitting across the table from someone trying to find something to talk about non-stop. Maybe I'm alone on that--what do you think? Being with someone during an activity gives you a great insight into who they really are and what their personality is really like.

I grew up in Toronto, Canada, and despite years being away from my homeland, it’s hard to take the Canadian soul out of the girl. I moved to SC/Savannah, Georgia after college and was a high school physics teacher in my first life career. After my grandpa had multiple strokes, I was his caregiver and deeply cherished the time I had with him, especially as he taught me to live both life and death with grace, joy and acceptance. I became a physical therapist because of him and love working with folks of all ages to improve their independance and quality of life, despite pain and disability. I am fiercely independent, a science geek, nature lover and newly discovered that the mountains sing to my soul! I lived on a South Carolina barrier island in the salt marsh and ocean ecosystems, but I’m loving learning Montana history and geology. I must admit I’m struggling with the pervasive Trump supporting hatred that seems to be everywhere these days. My kids have almost finished high school. For many years, I considered myself bi and fell in love with the person, not the gender. But over the years, I found my greatest love affairs were with women and I am happiest now as a gay woman. I am also happiest off the beaten path, hiking new trails and parks; sleeping and cooking outside is so romantic. I have been told the best word to describe me is passionate, basically about everything. About love, learning, embracing the moment and enjoying wherever I am. I wish I cared a little less about politics these days as it certainly isn’t doing anything for my serenity! I am a scholar at heart and can never get enough learning how are earth works at more detailed levels. I would love to find a woman with her own passions and dreams.
