About Me

I am a confident, hard working woman. I'm looking for someone to have some fun with and perhaps find a relationship. My ultimate desire is to find a man to share my life with, someone who compliments me. I love to laugh so he has to have a great sense of humor! I am sweet and affectionate and want the same in return. I am looking for a gentleman who treats a woman with respect (in my book chivalry is NOT dead). It makes me happy to do things for the people I care about. Of course I also enjoy being the recipient from time to time as well. I'm happy with my life for the most part, but all I am missing is that special someone. I have been divorced for 6 years - after a 23 year marriage. I have two great kids who are both grown and out of the house. I love to travel! I travel during the week with my job but I'm always ready for an adventure on the weekend as well. Weekend getaways make me very happy! I would love to find someone who can introduce me to some new activities. I try to stay in shape, working out a couple of times a week. I'm not thin but I'm not obese either. I am well proportioned and I have curves. I think sometimes men (and women too) "think" they could only be interested in the Barbie Doll type--but I personally think they don't know what they might miss out on by ruling out those of us who do not fit into that mold without even making the effort to get to know us. I take pride in my appearance and have been told many times that I look much better in person than my pictures. I am down to earth, quick witted and playful. I’m comfortable in jeans or dressing up for a night out. I don’t expect to find perfection in a man, as I am not perfect, but I will always strive to be the best me I can be. I'd love to get to know you. Perhaps you read something that intrigued you. I'm a fun person who has a lot to offer. I'd love to hear from you. I'll reply - that's only proper. If we don't seem to be a match, maybe we'll be friends. If we hit it off--even better! Don't be shy! To me a first date is more comfortable when there is something "going on". For ***, a ball game, a movie, a play, etc. I know that doesn't offer much time for conversation, but by the time you get to that first date, I believe you should have had at least a few conversations already. If you are comfortable enough to just hang out with someone that's the great feeling. After your activity, then perhaps some coffee or dinner and conversation. I just don't like that awkward first meeting to be sitting across the table from someone trying to find something to talk about non-stop. Maybe I'm alone on that--what do you think? Being with someone during an activity gives you a great insight into who they really are and what their personality is really like.
