Hmmmm...My story. I'm looking for a new chapter to add. Some adventure, comedy, romance, and if possible some action.ha ha.(JOKING but not really) Just no drama LOL. I know how to play golf, squash, and racquetball as well as inline skate, ski and hike...I have to admit that I haven't done much of these activities lately, but am getting back into squash and recently got back on my bike as well, which feels pretty good.I love the ocean and the sound of waves crashing against the shore. Warm water scuba diving is phenomenal. It was the most amazing diving I've ever done. Incredible. Hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, dolphins, tuna, marble rays, moray eels and white tip reef sharks were present on almost every single dive. I feel so fortunate to have been able to have these experiences, and that I was able to share them with the good friends who joined me on this adventure.I love traveling and am content at home as well. I'm pretty independent and at the same time, I have a true desire to find that special someone to share all the wonderful and challenging things that life presents us. Would love to find the right guy to go through life with and explore things together. Of course mutual chemistry is an important element in all of this as well. Up until about age 41, I was still of the mind that if I met my right guy, we'd have time to potentially have kids together. At 43, I recognize that I am content with being the best Auntie that I can be to my two nieces, whom I make time to see every week. If you're divorced with kids, that's totally cool with me. I love kids.I'm lookin' for someone who doesn't take himself too seriously and likes to be a bit silly sometimes. He's kind hearted and quick witted; family oriented and considerate. I will try to sum up everything in a nutshell and not be too long winded, lolI'm a little shy in the beginning but pretty down to earth and certainly don’t judge a book by it's cover. My children, my family and friends are very important to me but I'd like to find that special someone. Someone to share hopes and dreams with, someone to say "it's going to be alright" I enjoy life and always try to have a positive outlook on things, I truly believe you can turn any negative situation around and make it positive if you choose to do so. It's all about your mind set. I really enjoy the simple things in life like going for long walks, cuddling by the fire or just sitting and talking. Anything can be enjoyable if you want it to be. I also enjoy going to the movies and playing pool, even though I'm not the best at it.....it's all about having fun. I believe laughter is the best medicine, so you must have a sense of humor and take things lightly, be able to joke and carry on and just have fun. Life is too short not to, so you have to make the most of every day.I'd have to say honesty, trust, communication and respect along with a good sense of humor are important qualities that I look for in a significant other/partner. As well being an overall good person who is willing to put themselves out there, someone who is sensitive to the needs of others and someone who is secure and confident with themselves.I certainly don't play games, so I'd appreciate the same in return. Just like everyone else, I hate doing these things. I mean, how do you summarize yourself? I always get caught between wanting to make a bulleted list (my organized side) and rambling on forever about this and that until you're lost in the prose and at the end you'll say, "...but you didn't finish the story!" (My creative side). If you read all the advice out there and you're a man, you'd go for the prose because women love reading that stuff. But if you're a woman, my ad is already too long. Go figure. Hah!What the heck. I've gone on this long...I am shy and introverted; yet charismatic and can be the life of the party. I don't tell a good joke, but most people find me amusing. I don't smile all the time, which I guess translates into being somewhat intimidating and unapproachable (but now that I've told you that, you will not find me so); but if you approach me I usually have a smile for you. I am often told that I am the 'bright spot' in many people's day and am often sought out for quick conversation when they are feeling down. More than one man has said I am a good driver. :-)I am a geek. I grew up reading comics and, while I don't collect anymore, I still pick up one or two issues once in a while. I have several TV shows and book series that I am gaga over. And yes, I gush about them like a teenager. Sue me...but if you're not into them I probably wouldn't bore you with the details. I hate to tell folks this, but *everybody* is a geek about *something*.Running has taken over my life recently. Mostly it's because I'm training for my first Half in November; I *do* make time for a social life. Time out with friends, my nephew's football games (followed by family time), hiking and so on and I'm also training at work so I can move into a different field; but running is my current passion and obsession of choice.Hmmm.
