I am a single mom working as an RN in a day-surgery type center, in the recovery room, in the burbs. I do know how to let go and relinquish the reigns every now and then ;) I enjoy deep conversations, as well as silly ones. I don't believe in lieing; my honesty can be brutal at times but at least it's truth. Reading good books and watching old movies are favorite past times. Audrey Hepburn is my favorite actress. I most definitely do not fit the soccer mom profile. I have a style all my own. Something that makes me unique: I collect Gone With the Wind items. It has always been my favorite movie for as long as I can remember... The whole young, beautiful Irish girl... spoiled.... the man of her dreams.... what else would you expect from an Irish girl of today?What am I looking for? Well first and foremost you must be a man. Yes, I mean that in every sense of the word: physically, emotionally, metaphorically! Someone with a sense of humor, strength, passion, respect, not afraid of commitment, honest, trustworthy, friendship, chemistry....be open to whatever may come. Laughter, romance and ESPN - if that sounds like a good mix to you, read on. I have many different sides to my personality. At times, I can be 'just one of the guys.' I love sports, like action movies, love to fish (and will bait my own hook) and would be hard pressed to pass up a nice, juicy steak. At other times, I can be a real 'girly-girl.' I thoroughly enjoy clothes shopping, cringe at the mere sight of a spider and wouldn't be caught dead at any NASCAR event. :) I enjoy getting dressed up, but can just as easily put my hair in a pony tail, grab a baseball cap and go. I care about my appearance and work out regularly. I like to do the things most people do - go to the movies, have a nice dinner out, see a concert, etc., but also like new adventures. One of the most important things I've learned as I've gotten older - it's not so much what you are doing, but who you are doing it with! The man for me is the all-American, boy-next-door kind of guy. He's as comfortable at a formal event as he is at a baseball game. He's ok with the fact that the best thing I can cook is macaroni and cheese. He still has 'boys night out' and doesn't mind when I go out with the girls. He cares about his physical appearance and stays in good shape. He can be the life of the party, but also has a serious side. He is established in his career, but it does not rule his life. He's a sports guy - he likes the Twins, Vikes and Wild. Basically, I'm looking for that guy who will still give me butterflies as we shuffle past each other in the nursing home. Chemistry is a must, but if you are just looking for a 'hook-up', please keep looking.
