Sometimes life feels like a hamster wheel we keep running around in, but never get very far. Perhaps that is part of the journey or maybe it is what we are meant to do. Keep traveling in one direction without a destination. Let's not confuse my cynicism with all out negativity. Reality is simply the hard truth that requires acceptance and understanding. In my life, I've lived through good, bad, horrible, and indifferent times. All the while I've always maintained a decent comprehension of who I am. The strength to rise above adversity with my head high has molded a very strong willed person. There is not much I won't say when it's on my mind. Lost that filter years ago! hahaha My sense of humor (albeit a little quirky, twisted, raunchy, and sarcastic at times) has always kept me smiling through life. No matter what life threw at me a smile was present to not allow others to see what was on the inside. Contrary to my pictures smiling is part of my life. Don't judge me! hahahaha At times, my sense of humor allowed others to find their smile through difficult moments. A little bit of laughter goes a long way. My family (although dysfunctional), and close friends, are very important in my life. There is not a huge circle of friends, but there are a few that have been with me through a lot. My life is mostly centered around the simple things most *** over style. Quality over quantity. If the point has escaped you, I'm looking for simplicity and people who know what they want in this life. Not looking to be a stepping stone for those who have no clue. Neither am I looking for a hang out partner. I'm not a child but a grown man who knows full well what he wants. There was a time when serial dating was appropriate in my life. Been there and done that. Life isn't easy. Neither are real relationships. Everything we want takes work. Recent, and past events, have shown me that people who have addiction problems, of any kind, do not fit into my lifestyle. If we're able to love and respect ourselves, we'll be able share that with others. I'm looking for someone who wants something meaningful and lasting. A woman who's able to become my friend first and then go from there. Someone who is still able to see me for who I am during challenging times and able to laugh with me through them. Not someone who fails to see their partner beyond their own ego or past their nose. Laughter and fun are very important. Good, respectful people who understand each other truly are able to find fun in the most obscure places. People who live an active lifestyle fit in with how my life is lived. I'm at the gym ***times a week, eat healthy, and love to hike in spring and fall. Looking to find other physical activities that would keep me young and mobile. Anyone up for Yoga?? LOL. Well, here goes.........This is my story…...My hobbies are baseball, football, music, and gaming..............My goals is to find a long term relationship........Unfortunately, I am a divorcee.........I didn't want it but it is what it is..........and unfortunately, I am the one who is a victim of domestic abuse. I worked very very very hard to be the best provider that i could be for my family but I never was good enough. I was verbally and physically abused everyday. I did everything I can to be the best husband and father I could be, , I even forgave many times when my ex stole from her own jobs causing her own termination and also stole from her own family. What is very very sad about all this is that I still ended up losing my son, my little boy. ..I come home one day to her in bed with the Godfather of my son and they ran away together and took my boy and I am now a visitor in my owns sons life. I am not looking for a pity party however I tell people my story because they need to know what happen to me and that I am a good man, a gentleman, a man with family values but I'm treated otherwise. ..............There is nothing like fatherhood ..............I am a gentleman, die hard romantic and believe in chivalry. I am old fashion kind of man and I'm looking forward if possible to maybe having more children. .I am a banker and i also did twelve years in the army reserves.................Hopefully, I can fall in love again with a great woman who loves family values and family time............Family is important to me..............And as far as my personality.....I have a witty sense of humor, intelligent, and a die hard romantic. ...So please pass me by if you are not interested in a long term relationship that would lead to marriage and family.
