I haven't been getting out like I should, but, when I do go out, I like going to bars/dance clubs/concerts (HATE country music - am a rock-n-roll girl who some refer to as "ROCK" I like to canoe, boat and fish. I am an adventurer and daredevil by nature. I have raised three wonderful children - the last of which will be going off to college in just a few short weeks! (scary!) I guess, at my age, I am now reflecting back and wondering how I have ended up alone...how I could have chosen my relationships so unwisely in the past. I have so much affection to give, but am actually quite terrified to give it anymore after so much heartbreak. Yet, I just can't seem to give up on the thought that there is someone still out there for me. It may take me a long time to really trust and believe in true love again, but hopefully someone can me to get past that. Please don't fault me for being honest. I feel it's the only chance I have to meet someone that I am truly compatible with - who I can spend my life with. And, no...that does not mean I am looking for marriage, but I do want a life partner either way - someone to share the good, as well as the bad, times with. I want love that endures all. Maybe I am a hopeless romantic deep down, because I think true love does still exist...somewhere. I am definitely not looking for one-night stands. I do think serious intimacy is a very important part of a relationship and am a little unconventional/cinnamon in that regard (never any complaints - lol), but think these things should only be discussed after a REAL and LASTING spark/connection has been established. Semi-retired with to much spare time on my hands. Looking to venture out, see who and what is there in this part of the country. Wide variety of music genres, but the older I get , I find myself really enjoying bands/songs that I was enthralled by in the '80's. I know, showing my age. Aerosmith continues to be an all time favorite. Flowers, opening the door, clothes, shoes - all the "girl- ie" stuff I still appreciate but completely contradict myself in attempting to be that independent woman. Traveling, riding my chopper are favorite pastimes. Love Football......-ish). Hi guys! Really this should be simple: I'm just a normal gal looking for a normal guy. Let me start by talking a little about the guy I'm looking for: I tend to be attracted to the clean-cut kind of guy - either kind of geeky or sporty (a combination of the two would be ideal). I'm not looking for a "bad boy" or a biker - although if you ride, it's not a deal breaker. I tend to go for guys who are intelligent, but also would enjoy a day at the ball park. Not into the bar/club scene to meet people - although I do like to occasionally go dancing and/or go out for drinks. Personality wise, I'm a positive, bubbly, outgoing gal who has a tremendously big heart (and tend to wear it on my sleeve). I like to think of the glass as "half full" and not sweat the small stuff. I have my teaching degree and taught first grade for awhile, but now I work at a daycare as the one year old teacher. My interests include outdoor activities (swimming, camping, boating, catching some rays), dinner or drinks out, comedy clubs, or dancing, as well as cuddling on the couch watching a good movie...and YES, I like to watch sports if my significant other is into that (Go Tigers!). I have two teenage daughters ***& ***so you'd have to be ok with that. Give me a chance - you may be pleasantly surprised.**Update: recently started eating better and working out again. Working on a lifestyle change, not just another diet. It comes off a lot more slowly than it goes on!!! :-)Some have asked why does my profile say "dating" vs. "LTR" - eventually I would love to be in a LTR, but I would never jump into one without getting to know that person a bit first...and that takes dating. BTW - not interested in the dating anyone younger than ***thanks, I'm flattered, but that's not really me. PS - if I look at your profile and don't contact you, but you think we may have some things in common, feel free to contact me. (Not interested in anyone under the age of ***thanks though!) I think a first date should be fairly short and be located where my date and I could actually talk and get to know one another a bit. BUT I'm generally up for a lot of different things.
