I consider myself a fun, laid-back, humorous, stress-free type of person. I am a hard worker but I also like to socialize with extreme enthusiasm. I have a BBA and an AS. I am usually an optimist. I grew up Presbyterian, but usually attend non-denominational churches, when I go. I am debt-free and plan on staying that way, forever.I have never been married and have no "drama" in my life. I have never "lived with" anyone, either. I have no kids, and at my age it's likely I'm too old to start having any, but........I'm a scuba diver even though I haven't gone since I went to Belize a few years ago. I have a CHL (they don't give out CHL's to criminals) and enjoy shooting guns. German beer rules! I would like to tour all of Europe in the coming years. So many places to visit, so little time.Most people would probably say I'm a blast to be around and would describe me as "high energy" (and they would be correct, if I do say so myself ).Whewww - So glad that's over. I usually don't do well with women who have children that are still at home. I would not be interested in an atheist, or "non-religious" (agnostic?) woman. i am generally happy, fairly well-adjusted man. not a boy, but a man. chivalrous (my armor is currently rusting in the garage but i can drag it out and polish it up for the right woman), romantic (i cry at movies - i had a wonderful upbringing, my parents were so normal it's kinda creepy. really, who has normal parents for crying out loud. i have a great many interests and pursuits. anything outdoors, especially in or near water. skating, mountain biking, snowboarding or just getting lost in the woods - got breadcrumbs ? and lest you think i'm only a jock, i also qualify as a culture vulture : museums, art and design, a huge appreciation for the built environment. a perpetual tourist, enjoy playing in the city or going far enough that cellular cannot reach. also an intense interest in music, live or otherwise, it's always on and moves me. people (who i pay well) describe me as kind, affectionate and a true giver. also as their favorite renaissance man as i am one of those who can build or fix anything, well except the human condition.i'm 6' tall, 165#, still move like i am ***ok, ***just turned ***still very ggg) and very much unencumbered. which means that i am an empty nester for the first time in 18 years and i am enjoying it. i would prefer the same (isn't it nice to not have to worry about closing the door ?). my amazing 20 year old son is out on his own and it is wonderful and sad all at once. where did the years go...what i seek: a woman close in age with a youthful spirit (the inner child should be available at the first sign of a silly string fight), intelligent, witty (laughing at me counts just as much). happy and living in the present. hopefully she would like camping (in style and comfort) and the outdoors as much as she would enjoy getting dressed for dinner at musso and frank's. of course this like everything else in life is negotiable. i'm nothing if not a realist. i would prefer a woman with a bit of an edge and did i mention happy with herself and her life ? like everyone else i'm visual so please provide some full-length photos. i did (do the jeans in pic #3 make my butt look big ?) cute shoes and a killer smile much appreciated. so how did i do ? if nothing else i hope that you get a laugh out this and are enjoying your search. this is supposed to be fun wouldn't you think ? a nice way to meet for the first time would be someplace quiet. perhaps at the bar so as to sit closer and to be able to really hear what each other is saying eye to eye without the imposed spacing of a table.

Today is a new day...I'm happy...I wake up every day with a positive attitude...I've been burned before but who hasn't...I refuse to stop trying...I refuse to be jaded...but for every bad experience I have had I continue to I learn and I am a better person today than I was yesterday...Meeting someone you want to spend your life with is not easy...it's downright difficult...oh, I wish it was easy and maybe it is easy for some people but that just hasn't happened in the life that I have lived...but I always hold out hope and I can't wait to meet Mrs. Wonderful...I have no quarrels with anyone...but I will fight for a cause I feel is important...I take life seriously...but I love to have fun...I like to go to the gym and get a good workout in...I like a good power nap when the time is right...I love having so much to do at work I will never run out of things to do...but I love my weekends...I love scientific, historical TV shows.....I am liberal and I will respect your views, but I'm not into politics... I like to watch sports...I like to kiss...I love all foods including Calamari and a good piece of meat...I care about what I eat...I eat good nutritious food (do you know what a green smoothie is?)...but I also love tasty delicious food... and I admit I love chocolate...I am not looking for perfection...who wants that? I am certainly far from perfect (not to discourage you!...lol)...but when I am wrong or I make a mistake I will take responsibility for it and I am not afraid to say I'm sorry...I am very direct, very open, very honest, and I'll admit it...I'm not afraid to shed a tear...I am real...and I'm in touch with my feelings...But I am a man...so that means I like to drink an occasional beer and say stupid things because they are funny......So I like to have fun and enjoy life but not in a loud and obnoxious way...I am not interested in being the life of the party...but I know funny and I have a quirky sense of humor. I like social and intimate conversation...I'm not interested in serial dating...when I find the lady I'm interested in (and the feeling is mutual) I will gladly exit the meetville pond...I like to work out regularly...but I also I like to kick back. I have a HUGE CD collection and have my favorite 21,***songs on my classic ipod.....I love the 60's, 70's and 80's, but I also love blues, rock, alternative and country music...depends on my mood..... I'm an avid golfer and enjoy getting out on a beautiful day...I love my Steelers but will respect your right to be a fan of another team...unless of course its the Ravens...and maybe the Patriots...My wonderful daughter has recently graduated from college...there are NO complications in my life...I do have a couple of cats...they are "my boys"...While a profile is a starting point...getting to know someone takes time...I'm willing to do the work...and the journey is the fun part. ...I think a nice dinner in a relaxing comfortable atmosphere is the best first date...no pressure...just two people enjoying the unique opportunity to meet each other...meeting at a coffee shop is nice too...
