Society Gives No Excuse to the Woman Who Killed 6 Babies

Majority don’t see any right intentions in Megan Huntsman’s actions. Meetville.com (dating app to find the right person) asked people to respond to the question: “Can a woman who killed her 6 kids be called a human?”

The poll was carried out in the period from the 6/2/14 to 9/12/14. The results made clear that majority did not in any way justify these actions (75% – “No, she’s not a human”). If this woman had gone to an abortion clinic and had this procedure performed legally, would there have been such a reaction?

Psychologist Diane Sanford believes postpartum depression can play a role even in cases where there are serial infant murders. “These women aren’t well,” said Sanford. “They’re psychotic and probably delusional and if they don’t get treatment they continue to be ill and then during pregnancy and postpartum their hormones make them vulnerable to an intensification of their already existing illness. So these kinds of tragedies occur.”

The case affected not only Americans but 67,290 people around the world. Participants from the USA amount to 48%, from Canada – 5%, from Britain – 14%, from Australia – 8% and from other countries – 25%.

Alex Cusper, Meetville service analyst, comments: “The nation was shocked by the woman, and neighbors in this community, who also remained baffled. Probably, now it will lead to further discussion of such issues as abortion and the motives that lie behind them for women.”
