More and more people are embracing sex toys and sexual exploration. This fact came to light during a poll, conducted by Meetville.com (dating app to find the right person) between the 6/14/14 and the 9/11/14.
People were asked to respond to the question: “Do you accept the idea of using toys from sex shop?” An overwhelming majority of those polled (76%) said that they’re using or would like to use sex toys.
Meetville polled 56,130 people from different countries. The results indicate that popularity of sex aids increases around the world. 61% of participants were from the USA, in Canada it only came down to 3%, among others who explore their sexual desires 10% were from Britain, 7% - from Australia and 19% - from other countries.
According to an article on the internet blog Worloffemale.com, “Use of sex toys doesn’t necessarily mean something is lacking in the bedroom. The pleasure from sex toys is different from that of a partner and many people use them to get both and not only one of them. Moreover, the sex toy using people according to various studies are reported to have better sexual function. Laura Berman, a leading sex and relationship educator and therapist, says “By adding a little clitoral stimulation during sex, you can often climax quicker.”
Among those who answered in the affirmative (Yes), 73% were males. The number of men using sex toys is also bigger in comparison to those who don’t (60%).
According to Alex Cusper, Meetville service analyst, “The statistics debunk the myth that men feel insecure about toys from sex shops. Using sex toys doesn't mean a man is a loser, it means he’s smart, and likely to be better in bed for it.”
