Most Americans are dreaming of starting a family business. This issue was addressed by Meetville (dating app to find the right person) over a survey, conducted from 6/9/14 to 8/8/14.

Participants of the poll were asked “Would you start a family business?”. The results were as follows: Yes - 73%, No - 27%.

Out of the total number of participants - 37,672,  the majority  was from the USA - 70%, from Canada - 3%, from Britain - 8%, Australia – 6% and other countries – 13%.

According to Leadership Coach Lolly Daskal, starting a business with your spouse may be an attractive idea to many people for several reasons: it’s more reliable, efficient and profitable of course. In addition, she points out: “Every marriage is already a partnership, one in which you work together, create together and support each other. With the right commitment to making it work, sharing a business can be a meaningful extension of that partnership”.

It is interesting that the distribution of votes within the “Yes” option is as follows:

Male: 66%, Female: 34% .

Alex Cusper, Meetville service analyst, explains it by saying that usually men are more likely to seek accomplishment in business sphere than women. Although, in general he observes that the responses on both sides are more or less balanced.

Meetville, a leading mobile dating service, regularly conducts research among its users. Millions of people from the U.S., Canada, Britain and Australia answer hundreds of questions every month.
