Will Internet Substitute Travelling?

“Reality VS virtuality? Most people are not ready to exchange travelling on Internet. This was”

Reality VS virtuality? Most people are not ready to exchange travelling on Internet. This was found out in the course of the survey, conducted from 4/30/14 to 7/17/14 by Meetville (dating app to find the right person).

The poll posed the following question «Is Internet a substitute to travelling?» and 69% of 47,892 voters agreed on the answer «No». Other 31% believe that Internet can substitute travelling for them.

Chrispher S. Penn, a famous writer and a teacher of Internet Marketing, is convinced that it’s foolish to believe that technology can replace the full experiences of being there in person. “Absolutely, there’s benefit and gain to be had by recording, podcasting, and streaming events for those who are there and those who can’t make it, but don’t think for a minute that current technology can replace the in-person experience”.

The survey polled 47,892 people. From the USA - 50%, from Canada - 4%, from Britain - 13%, Australia - 8% and other countries - 25%.

Alex Cusper, Meetville service analyst, explains presented statistics as follows: most people, who participated in the survey, live in higly developped countries, where Internet is a part of everyday life. Those people appreciate it, but no more consider Internet to be a miracle. All of them clearly see the difference between online and real lives.

Meetville, a leading mobile dating service, regularly conducts research among its users. Millions of people from the U.S., Canada, Britain and Australia answer hundreds of questions every month.
