When I'm not working or socializing, I'm pretty active, and I genuinely love to travel and meet new people.I work in public relations so there's a lot of air kissing, sipping of champagne and stroking poodles. Sadly/luckily, this is not really the case. The reality is that I work hard but I enjoy my work and PR is pretty rewarding. Being a strong, reliable and honest communicator is therefore very important to me. I invest significant time in volunteering and I currently mentor several young entrepreneurs. Oh, and I love writing lists. There are a lot of lists in my world right now.I try to get outside as much as I can. I'm not very good at skiing, I'm better at horse riding and I've done a couple of triathlons. I am also the proud owner of pink boxing gloves and have been told I have a pretty sharp, right hook. Apparently, I'm not for the faint-hearted as I can, on occasion, exhibit quick wit and sarcasm but I can be self-deprecating too so that usually balances things out. British and proud.I'm just as comfortable walking into a room of strangers, taking on an extreme sport, or simply spending the evening at home, watching a compelling documentary or catching up on current affairs (news vs. the latest Kardashian debacle although I may be caught doing both simultaneously once in a while). I'm a social creature but I'm equally independent and value time alone. I'm looking for someone who has an interesting mind, a passion for life, a generous soul and an open-heart. Romantics, please apply. Something memorable - this can include great conversation or a small, sweet gesture. And chemistry, that's so important.

I work hard and at the end of the day I like to throw my kayak on the car and putter around a local lake. However, it's hard to meet new people in the middle of a lake :)My work locations are far-flung, as are my family and friends, so I still feel as if I'm planting roots in PG- but those roots seem never to take hold without someone to share the community with. I want to make a home with someone who will accept me in all my complexity. I am equally happy in a library as I am in the forest, in high heels on a dance floor or cuddled on the couch with a classic video game. I'm pretty feminine, but can fight off a bear and it would lovely to find a guy that would find that endearing *** intimidating :) It is important for me to be with someone who approaches life with a sense of discovery- even if it is a new vegetable in the groceries store. You don't need to share my activities or my taste in music, but you do need to share my outlook on life. I am not overly-attached to my phone, my TV, or my ego, and when it comes to teasing I'm going to give as good as I get. I am not looking for lots of casual dating, I feel strong chemistry and a deep bond of friendship are essential for happiness. It means something for me to say I'm looking for something serious because I want to find someone amazing and 'just right' and know that he has been looking for the same thing too. It becomes draining to invest my free time in someone who isn't comfortable yet looking for, or admitting to, wanting the same (and I know we all want to be cautions because of the crazies out there on the internet!). It's casual- it's cliche, but I love a coffee date. Caffeine & nothing pressing to do but to get to know someone. After that- there is a hundred things to do in PG in all weather- why don't we pick something new to both of us?

I am a kind and generous person. I have a small circles of friends that I love spending time with. I really enjoy a good conversation. I fairly practical and organized. I'm loyal and thoughtful. Hiking, long bike rides, ferry to an island. I keep meaning to drive up to Lake Cowichan and go kayaking or paddle boarding - but these would be a lot more fun to do with someone special. Keeping active and moving is important to me, I walk to and from work each day and I think the fresh air is part of the reason why I have so far avoided catching the flu. I love to dance. I was so shy growing up that I didn't start taking ballet until I was in my early twenties. I've since stopped ballet, but I really enjoy the three modern dance classes I take each week. They say a smile can start on the face, that just by moving the muscles you can influence your emotions and will feel happier. I feel so much more alive and positive because I dance.I am a photographer. I love taking photos, especially of people. One day I'd like to start making money at it, but right now I still need a lot more practice. I do often go for walks without my camera, but I see shots everywhere. I sometimes like the free weekly iTunes or Starbucks song, which might mean I have hipster tastes in music. I am one of those people who when they hear a new song they like, listens to it on repeat over and over again until I know it by heart. And there's something special about listening to a voice quietly singing along to an acoustic guitar (like Ed Sheeran). One day I'd like to learn to play guitar. I'm hoping to date a man who is : taller than me, doesn't smoke, lives independently, has a job, is not a student, drives a vehicle (not only a motorcycle), is interesting to talk with, and is active. I want a boyfriend to spoil, to indulge in, to cuddle with, to watch sunsets with, and to let him know that he is loved. Someone to have some adventures with, to explore with. I dream about going to Tofino with a boyfriend. Seems like a really small thing, but I've never been and keep saving it as a special place to go with someone I love. Some friends think I'm nuts, but the ones who truly know me understand. First meeting will most likely be picking up a coffee and having a chat. If that goes well (you like me & I like you), then we could have a first date. Food and talking is always going to over well with me. Brunch or lunch or dinner and a stroll.
