First, I just want to be straight. I'm a big girl. I got meat on my bones, so please if that's not something you're okay with, please just move on. ANYWAYS... Hmm, my hobbies... browsing the internet. I like to swim, listen to music, watch movies, I like doodling (haha, mostly at work). Playing games, hanging out with friends. I have my Master's Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences- Family Services. For those of you who don't know what the heck FCS is, Family services is similar to social work. I'd like to work with children but I am not 100% on what I would like to do. I don't have a ton of experience so I just hope I end up doing something I LOVE! :) I work at an organization that works with individuals that are developmentally disabled. I am a supervisor of our direct care staff in our Adult Learning Program (workshop). I think something that makes me unique is my optimism. I do my best to not let the world to get me down. I feel like we're exactly where we're supposed to be at all times, even if we don't like it! I just always like to stay positive! :) I love a little bit of everything when it comes to music. I'll listen to any song once to see if I like it or not. I mostly listen to Pop, rock, I loooove the Beatles and 90's music lol. I think it should be something simple and fun. I personally get uncomfortable if attention is ALWAYS on me. So if we went bowling or to a carnival or something fun on a first date I think it would be more fun that way! I think it leaves little room for awkward silences too! :)

I'm not going to lie....I'm not a huge fan of trying to sell myself in a text paragraph when more than half of everyone on here will scan over my pictures as they pass my profile by. What can I say about myself....I like to think I'm pretty awesome, but I guess you would have to be the judge of that. I'm a people person (obviously given that I work in the social services industry). I love to talk and listen. I think I give good advice 90% of the time. I have a big personality and I know that I can be a lot to handle sometimes. I try to tone it down for new people....but you can only contain me for so long LOL I tend to think of myself as a little bit crazy...but in a good way. I can also be boring. My idea of a good time is hanging out watching tv or movies. Not a huge drinker (but from time to time its ok), not a huge party animal (again from time to time its ok) and I am not overly wild as some 25 year old's can be. If that makes me boring so be it, I enjoy who I am and expect to find someone who does as well. As a side note I feel like I should just be honest and put this out there since it can be a lot to handle and can be the demise of a relationship. I do have an auto-immune disorder called ulcerative colitis. It can be a bit hard to deal with at times and I've been in the hospital two times so far this year because of it. I take quite a few medications (which all have various undesired side effects) and have to watch what I eat to some extent. So if medical issues, poop, or body issues effect or offend you I'm probably not your girl. I am very open about it and can talk to anyone so if your interested or have questions feel free LOLWell, I don't want to give too much awalday about myself because then what fun would it be to have the initial "get to know you" messages that people send on here. If i spark an interest or just seem like someone you would like to talk to feel free to message. I'm a pretty open person and love to speak with people. I’m not a fan of cop shows or sitcoms like Big Bang Theory. I don’t like violence and I don’t like making jokes at other peoples expense. My all-time favorite tv shows are Doctor Who and Community. I'm a big fan of music. I'll listen to most anything except for country music and contemporary Christian music. I'm not a fan of either. I can't put into words how much I loathe those two genres. Even though I don't like ccm music, I do love worship music but I'm kinda picky about that too. I don't have any favorite artist or bands but I do have favorite genres. I love classical, jazz, blues, and indie pop/rock. I also really love music from the 90's/early 00's AND music from musicals/animated films.I’m looking for short term/long term dating and possibly marriage (but that's wayyyy down the road). I don't want to put that pressure on myself or the other person to make things more serious than it actually is. I truly believe if you like someone and care for someone enough the relationship will naturally progress to something more serious. I'm also not willing to be with someone just so I have a boyfriend. Okay here goes...I am a native of the quad cities and yet there are some places people talk about here that I have never seen. I work full time at a job that I am trying to love and I also taking some classes online which leaves me not a whole lot of time to get out and meet people. When I do go out I enjoy going to listen to live music and drinking some wine - I'm not huge on bar scenes except to people watch! I would much rather go to a concert than a movie. I work with animals on a daily basis and have two dogs at home who are pretty important to me. I have worked as a zookeeper - with water spitting chimpanzees and I loved every minute of it. I enjoy sports -- esp. World Cup Soccer and hockey. I have an acoustic guitar that I would really love to learn how to play (maybe someday). Thunderstorms make me giddy - the more severe the more I enjoy them. Over the years I have been working my way through AFI's top movies - I am about a fourth of the way through. I'm a pretty easy going person who is sarcastic most of the time but I know when to be serious. Feel free to ask me about anything I left out!
