Here's my story...I've been divorced a couple years out of a ***yr relationship, took some time to recover and now ready to venture out into the wild world of dating, something I never thought I'd be doing when I got married but, such is life. Figured this would be a good place to start, so all you guys don't let me down k!Not planning to rush into anything serious, but am a very versatile, never say never type. It all depends on what happens & who I meet! I'm drawn to those who are artistic & share my interests in music (of all kinds), cinema, and the arts in general as well as travel (which I haven't gotten to do near enough of!). I love to sing and still hope to learn piano, guitar, or both one day. I occasionally write poetry and I like to read. Been told I have a good balance of intellect and common sense, I tend to know a little about a lot and a lot about a little. I'm very curious and am always asking questions because I usually need to know the how, what, when, and why of things. So being a good conversationalist is a must. I've been strongly considering going back to college to get my degree, just not positive yet.I'm a curvy woman in (mostly) all the right places, so someone who likes that as opposed to a petite woman is important (have a bit of a jelly belly), I'm not in as good of shape as I'd like so want to be more active. Motivation and healthy influence in this area would be awesome given I'm accepted as I am to begin with. Will glam it up to go out, but don't get fixed up to go to the grocery store. Fellas looking for a trophy, I'm not your gal. Looks aren't the most important thing, but realistically there has to be some attraction and either it's there or it's not for both. 9 out of 10 of you won't respond to the message that I send to you, which is totally fine. And for those of you who do respond, you are probably looking to get laid or to play games...Just an observation that I have made from the men who I have talked to on here and for the profiles I have read. I don't sound bitter at all do I? I just really want to find a great guy who I can share my amazing life with..*****it should not be this hard to find a great guy.are there any decent guys left? That is what I keep asking myself******Talking about yourself is never easy because this all just feels like some commercial to see who has the better product to offer. All I have to say is,I am confident in the person that I am and I know what I want in life and I work hard to get it. I love spending time with her and I do every chance I get. I love to cook and bake and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen doing that and making new healthy dishes that are delicious. I have some great friends too who I am very close too and we have such a great relationship and I would not call it a friendship, but they are more like family members. I love them more than life and they are very important to me. I am a BIG NC State fan (keep your comments to yourself, lol) and I LOVE sports.#1 most important thing in my life because I am a teacher. I take my job very seriously and I love what I do. I don't mind dating a man who is divorced or who has kids, AS LONG as there is no drama. A little about me....I have a great group of friends (although I'm sure everyone feels this way-otherwise they wouldn't be your friends), but I promise if you met them you would agree! These are some of the things I like to do: First Friday on the Green, Concerts in the Gardens, local tastings, The Kimbell, antiquing (please don't be scared, remember the friends I mentioned earlier-they can go in your place! I love what I do and want to give fair warning, I talk about it a lot. The idea of having a "job," where you just go in, work and leave isn't something I really understand. My faith is my foundation. Being involved in your community makes it better! Saturday mornings are my favorite time of the week-they just feel different. I do agree that wedges are the heels of your thirties. I adore the elderly, we have so much to learn from them. Patio weather and live music makes the world a beautiful place. A cold schooner on a hot day with a friend and a great story is pretty amazing. My dog is hilarious. I'm an active volunteer with some wonderful organizations. I'm addicted to passion tea from Starbucks, and super allergic to diet coke. A picnic in the park can set the world right.
