I love baseball and all the nuances that happen in a game. Being with my children, and teaching them about life. I have been coaching Little League for 7 years, and I love teaching the game. Over those years, though they may not know it, those boys and girls have taught me a lot as well. You'd be surprised what you can learn on a baseball field with children...probably all you need to know about life. I don't mind humility, and I am comfortable in my own skin, and have nothing to prove to anyone. Those without a sense of humility, should look a little deeper, and maybe for someone else . :)I am also not attracted to judgmental people, we all have faults and some baggage. Aren't all of us here a "work in progress"? Also...it seems that modesty is leaving us quickly, with people always reminding us of how good they are. How important honesty, faithfulness, and sincerity are in life, some people just don't get it...or give it for that matter. I also wonder what the world will be like when my children get older. I like to play guitar and write, but some guitar lessons probably wouldn't' hurt. Writing songs let's me escape for a while, and is rewarding . I have an idea for a book, and hopefully someday I will translate that idea on paper....It's a book about love and relationships, and I need a little push, or maybe an inspiration...:)About me:I have only dated a few women here, as I like to write to women who write well about themselves. Nothing in particular, sometimes you just feel it.I don't walk away from negativity, I run from it. Not into judging people.If you have just gotten your new found freedom, and need to be with your friends every weekend, and maybe you could squeeze me in sometime on Wednesday....then.......well.....you get the point.I'm a bit more spiritual than religious...If you're the pushy type, we won't mix well, as I won't push back. I'm not the aggressive type, and don't feel the need to be right all the time, but I will hold my ground. And I will always have your back...no matter what.I'm a trusting soul, and it has on more than one occasion come back to bite me, in more ways than one. As trusting in people as I am, I am not naive. I don't believe in dating more than one person at a time, and expect that from you too. If it doesn't go well, then so be it. I'm sure you wouldn't want that either. as informal as this site is, I think honesty should start right from the beginning. Plenty of time to date others if we agree it didn't or isn't working out. If you like to date more than one person at a time, we won't be compatible right from the start. It's just something I feel strongly about. I really don't want to compete with someone, and would like a woman who would see where I could possibly fit in her life, and I wouldn't want to be compared to anyone. Would you? Long story short, it seems like that would be more of a job interview at that point, doesn't it? (it doesn't get any more impersonal and informal than that...) I'm just not interested in being a contestant on the dating game at this point.I don't want to end up being a chronic dater on here, which is why I can only take small doses of this site at a time. The search for someone better is a never-ending search. Let's give it a try. Sometimes it seems like a lot of work on here, and I hope someday to never come back... or look back... Most anything country, most female country singers, that twang they have when they sing is so sexy...80's music and some gospel...Movies: Mostly dramas and those zany goofy comedies like Airplane. (Sometimes you just need to "check out" mentally)...Some of the Showtime and HBO series...Documentaries about Science and History, I like some chick-flicks too. I saw Lovely Bones about 3 years ago, and to this day, that move still haunts me.About you:That would be just you..... being you. I might seem real confident on what I want, but I guess its more of what I don't want. On the contrary, I'm as in the dark as you might be, so maybe take my hand, and lets see if we can find the light... Somewhere quiet where we can get to know each other.....no distractions. As long as it is somewhere that makes you comfortable, doesn't matter to me.

I am a nature-oriented person and perhaps happiest on a good hike in the wild. Still, I spend most of my life in the city and appreciate what it has to offer, particularly if good food and music are involved. I am fairly active, enjoying travel and exploring other cultures, skiing, rafting, attending the arts, hanging out with friends, etc., however I am in general rather low-key and tend to prefer quiet, intimate settings where I can enjoy a good conversation. I often listen to NPR, but I also listen to a wide-). I also enjoy reading a good book or watching a good movie and although I enjoy cooking, I mostly make it up "on the fly" with good success - and the occasional disaster and home run. I probably should use my many cookbooks more often.I try to stay healthy by exercising regularly and although I appreciate its challenge and benefits and enjoy it for its own sake, I do not regard it as a hobby or interest. I am athletic, but not an athlete, and although I enjoy watching a good football game, the world cup, and the Olympics, I am not very sports-oriented. Schooling and my job have drawn me to these places - and other adventures. I am very lucky to do for a living what I dreamed of doing as a kid. I am not a man of faith, but, respect and share in the effort to find meaning in our lives and to live purposefully. I am open to dating someone who lives by faith so long as we can agree to honor each other's paths.Like (most) everyone else, I am hoping to find someone with whom I can deeply connect with and share in life. For me that would be a woman who has many common interests and some new ones (to me) and is curious, compassionate, and independently-minded. It seems that dating and relationships at our age are difficult? Seems as if I am running out of momentum to continue the pursuit. I also know that without the use of this site the chances go from slim to none so I push on. I am just a simple guy that knows the type of person he is looking for. I don't expect perfection only someone perfect in my eyes.In a relationship, first there must be a physical attraction between both parties. We have to be honest with ourselves and realize this to move forward. With that out of the way you must have the ability to communicate on some level, with common interest. Everyone has goals- no matter the size, you have to see it from their perspective and be willing to work with them to achieve them. My one true goal is to live happy. Now this sounds so simple but at times is very complex. You also need to understand that there is such a thing as "Me Time" and be prepare to have your own. This does not mean the opportunity to cheat on you or chase other women- just plain and simple time to just clear my head of all the stress that we put on ourselves in our daily routines. I am a simple man that lives a simple life, yes I can climb a rock wall or fall out of a plane with just a "tarp" to catch me but the over all life experiences are the ones that you share when the adrenalin is not pumping! I am Divorced because the one I married choose a different life, I am not bitter towards women because of this but I did learn a few things along the way. I am not arrogant but just know what does it for me and what doesn't. Now maybe, just maybe you will look inside yourself and see that what I have said to be the true self in you too? If so, then please by all means say hello- I am old fashion is some ways but for a dating site to work effectively it must go both ways. Take that chance.
