On the other hand, I enjoy quiet coffee time with a book or magazine (probably a car, motorcycle, or science mag). I'm an easy going, gentleman-type of guy***who wants to open your car door. I'll happily help clean up the kitchen should you cook us a nice dinner, and will gladly spend an evening discussing the finer points of politics and world affairs with your dad :) I love music of all kinds- blues and jazz, old-school country, bluegrass., alternative rock, rootsie folk- I collect and listen to all types. I earn my living as an aerospace engineer. I'm proud of what I do and have contributed to some amazing stuff over the many years- some of which has even made the news :) I like the feeling of having someone special. I'm confident, but not arrogant. Its an important distinction for me, and I would look for the same in you. I also recognize that the best physical relationship happens in a mature relationship, not on a first date. I am looking for someone active and passionate about work and life; a woman with interesting perspectives who I can learn from while we enjoy each other's company. I'm looking for a woman who is physically fit and takes good care of herself, but not necessarily obsessed about it. I want to travel, and dance, enjoy bike rides, motorcycle rides, late nights out, and early morning coffee. I'm a nice guy, very honest and hardworking. I don't play games - respect is important to me. I'm sometimes quiet, sometimes talkative. I see myself as shy but most people don't think of me that way. I started out life early in the business world and did well but decided a few years ago to step out for a while to do more meaningful things. I just reentered the corporate world and I'm enjoying my newest venture with a global bank. I own a beautiful Victorian house that I'm restoring and my life often centers around it (maybe a little too much sometimes). Everything always works out and I'm confident it always will (sometimes with a little help).I like to fix things and am very ambitious in my projects (both in the board room and the workshop). I buy and restore antique furniture - I like things that are made well and have a lot of character. I love working on my house - but when it comes to restoration I'm a bit of a perfectionist so it will never be finished (unless a future mate makes me finish it - in which case I'll do so begrudgingly :) ). I like to restore whole neighborhoods and join boards of organizations that need help. Hide the broken stuff from me unless you want me poking around with it. Except for people - people need to fix themselves (but I'll be right there with you the whole way).I lead a pretty healthy life. I work out daily, eat well, and have more energy than most 10 people (this is both good and bad). :) I don't expect my partner to be as focussed on health as I am but I expect to live a long happy life and would certainly like my partner with me through it all - so health consciousness is important. When I am in a relationship I'm attentive, caring, and committed - and I'm looking for the same in my partner.I've traveled all over the world and even lived in Japan for a while. I've had three very successful careers, restored two beautiful old houses, and have spent most of the past 10 years giving back. I'm very high energy and passionate - but also very calm and laid back. I'm looking to meet some nice people on this site and to make some new friends - but my dating goals are to find someone to share the rest of my life with. I would like to have a family and I'm finally ready to settle down.
