I don’t really desire to visit a place twice.....my attitude is that there is so much of the world to see, why would you want to go to the same place??My work week is busy with my kids and teaching and so on the weekends I like to do more low key kinds of things (this is not to say that I don’t like to whoop it up now and then - life has to stay fun and exciting!) This being said, I enjoy trying new restaurants followed by a quite walk around the area. I have great friends who have awesome husbands so getting together with them for dinner and drinks is always a good time. I enjoy attending local festivals such as Grape and Wine in St.). I like watching movies in theatres or in the quiet of my home. I love the music of the 80's and 90's and very much enjoy going to concerts. Jacobs, Collingwood, etc., are fun with or without the kids.The things that make me smile are my kids, my dog, and my students. My kids are my life - I have a 9 year old girl who is beautiful, funny, creative, energetic, and smart. I also have a boy who is ***he is smart, handsome, hilarious, and loves sports such as hockey and football. My dog is also something that makes me smile. Lucy, like all dogs, loves unconditionally - she is always waiting at the door with her tail wagging, excited to see us home. My students also make me smile - grade one is a very challenging grade to change to teach but when I see how much I have taught them and how far they have come in June, it makes me feel so proud.I am happy and content with my life, so I am not in any rush to date the world. am independent, funny and sarcasatic and generally pretty fun to be around. Not sure that I am ready or interested in jumping into a serious relationship, but looking for someone to spend some time with and get to know. (I think this may have scared some off, I wrote this a few months back, and not sure that I still feel the same way) Who I am, I play soccer three nights a week, enjoy going out and listening to live music, love my job and have made sure that I always have. If you do not like the place you have to spend 40 hours a week, you should probably be looking elsewhere. I am loyal and dedicated, to my employment and my relationships I have a great group of friends and family. I am competitive and like to watch and play pretty much all sports and generally can at hold my own, except I can't ice skate and I have never tried to ski. You will not find me at the gym, I like to play sports and be physically active but the gym is not my thing and I don't like to run (unless it is after a soccer ball or while being chased). I like and understand pretty much all sports and enjoying being a spectator as well. I am not a fanatic, but like live sporting events (Wave, Brewers, Badgers, Packers). What I am looking for hmmm. I don't have some lengthy checklist and I am pretty open but there are a couple things that would not make us very compatible. If you are super religious and would ever expect me to go to church with you (unless it is for someone's wedding or funeral) or ultra conservative, I would not be a good match. I am not against someone who hunts, fishes or snowmobiles, but if these are your main interests, you should probably skip over me. I don't have any biological kids, but I do have a 16 year old step daughter, who I will maintain a relationship with. I am not against dating some one with children, but really don't know that I want that maternal type role again. So it would probably be best if your children are older, out of the home or you have a good relationship with their mother and not looking for a replacement. I am pretty laid back. I understand I can't control, what I can't control, but I believe I am responsible for my life and looking to make sure that I am ok and my decisions are well planned out. I like my space neat and orderly but am not over the top. I love to travel and try to make it to the Caribbean twice a year, have done a couple crewed charters and love the BVI (not really in to all inclusives). I would love to travel more and am really interested in SE Asia or Australia as my next big trip.
