Hi!I am an intelligent, articulate, witty, full-time university student, father of two daughters ***and 6) and generally all-round decent guy who has a passion for Art and Photography. I would like to meet someone that shares a few of these interests but also has some of her own that I could take an interest in as I think that a successful relationship requires both independent and codependent hobbies. If you want to know more about what I like, just ask!I like to think I have a decent sense of humour, I certainly like to laugh a lot- I know, it's hard to tell from the profile pics!- but humour is subjective to the individual and situation and really doesn't translate too well over the internet (I despise LOLZ and ROFL's as I am proud of my literacy and command of English) and so all I can do is guarantee you a laugh in person rather than in writing, which in all fairness does come across as a little too serious because of my writing style. You'd just have to decide whether you want to find out for yourself!-to-earth type of guy that is fiercely loyal and incredibly romantic- the type that would write a poem or two to express my innermost. Point of fact: it greatly surprises me how many 'hopeless romantics' on here run a mile when a guy takes the time to write a poem to them- perhaps that's considered too strong here, perhaps the definition of romance has changed over the last two decades, I don't know...maybe the Mr Darcy types just aren't welcome here!) I am comfortable with who I am and where I am heading in life but I do long to have someone to share it all with and the intimacy of a partner that 'mates', particularly the male variety, just cannot provide. When you're a guy, asking another bloke to go to an art gallery rather than a football match is pretty much asking for a punch in the face!Might also be worth mentioning here that I used to be a chef-for 12 years in fact- so I'm a pretty decent cook as well as being tidy and quite organised.I wouldn't say I have a specific taste in women; if I find you attractive I'll have clicked through to your profile, if I haven't contacted you it's most likely because I think you may not reply; perhaps due to me having a face like a bag of spanners! Like a true Cancerian I'm rough and tough on the outside but real soft in the middle (armadillo!), although I'm not a big fan of astrology. Personally, I find personality and character far more desirable traits than looks and get on better with women in general than men, but also understand that there must be some initial physical attraction between two people, but am more interested in the person than the overall appearance and am not looking for any fly-by-night daters or party girls. A modicum of intelligence would be extremely desirable, as would an interest in the Arts and a wish to travel in the future although these are definitely not deal-breakers.Anyway, if you've actually got this far and not clicked the back button yet, consider getting in touch. I think there's enough information here for you to decide if I may be 'right' for you (I'd say too much perhaps) you'll find that I don't bite and am very polite but if I'm truly being honest I would have to say that I'm not overly confident when it comes to dating- I have lots when it comes to me as a person in general, but tend to undervalue myself in matters of the heart, possibly because nowadays looks seem to be more highly sought after by women.
