I love to travel!!! That is my passion and that's what keeps me motivated at this point in my life. After completing my first degree, I moved to Taiwan to teach English for three years and that gave me the best opportunities to travel any chance I got. I've visited many Asian cities but I'd have to say that Hong Kong is my favorite city and Vietnam my favorite country. The only continents that I have not been too are South America, Australia and Antarctica. I plan to do the all but the last in the next five years. I'm not much for the cold so I think that I'll have to pass on Antarctica.I'm a SK girl but now I call Calgary my home but that doesn't mean I wouldn't move if the right opportunity arose. I always figured that I could pretty much be a nurse anywhere, including somewhere nice and warm for the winter. As for music, I have a wide range of tastes. If you look at my i-Tunes library, you would know what I mean.I am a shy person but once you get me talking, then you'll start to see the real me. I'm a great listener so I guess that's why I'm in healthcare. Attraction and chemistry are key. We won't know until we try but it's either there or it isn't but once we meet, then at least we'll know. I just want to find someone who likes to do the same things as myself so that I can call you up and say, "Let's go to a movie." I'm rewriting this and hopefully it has a good balance of detail but not too much detail, and is from the heart!), some camping (or lots of camping if you love it like I do, hopefully within walking distance of a beach), some sports if there are any we both enjoy (tennis? soccer? badminton?), short hikes on a nice summer day (with our dogs), maybe some cycling and swimming, a few days at sicome lake maybe, watching movies cuddling on the couch with a fire going (I am a huge movie lover, love my favorite tv series too, but there are also time periods where I watch no tv and read ***, quality time spent with pets (I love animals and it would be important that you do to), cooking together or for each other with a candle on the table and some wine (I also enjoy eating out and have my favorite places), healthy eating or an openness to it, mutual desire to commit to some degree of fitness and exercise (it's something I am working on and would love sometimes to have company as I exercise a few times a week), someone who is in the category of undecided/open to it on the subject of children (as opposed to definitely doesn't want any) and what would be great but not necessary is a mutual desire to contribute to the community in some way (volunteering, charity, making a difference, acts of kindness etc...). And of course because I am loyal, committed to the right person, supportive both emotionally and practically, available in terms of my time, warm and capable of closeness/love both in the present and long term and make a great friend... I am looking for the same. I would also love someone who wants an equal partnership and desires to sit down at the table (or on the grass, etc..) and speak and listen respectfully to each others view, and come up with something that both can be happy with when disagreements occur. I'm someone who loves to do new things, meet new people and have people over for dinner, to hang out at home just the two of us as well, and to also go out and experience nature and life... I'm not someone whose extreme (who likes to mostly be at home or mostly be out, but likes a good balance;!I love to laugh and to be silly sometimes, like intellectual conversation and philosophizing, am easy to talk with, and generally care about people. God is a part of my life and my spiritual connection with Him is important to me and I do my best to nurture it... if you have a spirtitual life too that would be something that would strengthen our bond... Out for coffee/tea to see if there's a connection....
