A first date really depends with whom I'm spending my time and where we are in a relationship. Coffee usually works best for introductions (even if you don't drink coffee... get tea/milk/water/juice. Most coffee shops have all of the above). If we're on more familiar terms, I'd like to go to something (semi) active... amusement parks, mini-golf (yes, I AM a nerd), a baseball game (watching something active counts, right?)... you get the picture. Dinner and a movie is NOT a good "get-to-know-you" activity... that's more of a friend/companion pastime.
