I am a hard working man that takes pride in a job well done. I have old school values and character traits. My father taught me that if I am gonna do something, to do it with passion. I take that position with every aspect of my life. That doesn't necessarily mean I have all my shit together, but I can definitely hold my own, and I am capable of much more. I've been described as ruggedly handsome, I'm guessing because I'm not a pretty boy in the traditional sense, with pretty hair and hair product on my head and a baby smooth body. I rock a beard for winter because I spend a lot of time outside, and it cuts the wind off my face and neck. I am a few pounds over weight. ***lbs) Not a lot, but enough to make me self conscious about it sometimes. I just don't have a lot of time to workout. I used to be an amateur boxer from my early teens to my early 20s, so I know with a regimen, I could whip into shape in a months time. When I am at my natural w***lbs), I look damn good. I have a very strong body. I am extremely loyal and honest and protective with those I care about. I have a 16 year old son that lives with his mother. My bond with my son is iron, just like mine was and is with my father. I get along with his mother just fine and we are still friends and we still care about each others well being and respect each other accordingly. In fact, I loosely consider her a part of my family, and sometimes invite her to my family gatherings, despite not being together for 15 years now. Its just the way it is. Friends. DEAL WITH IT. If you can't handle that, move along. It wont change just for you. Yeah, I love my friends and family, and will go to the end of the earth and back for them. I'm not shy but I can be a bit quiet at times, especially if you are new to me. I always felt one will learn more by opening their ears *** their mouth, something my dad used to tell me as a boy, a practice I've carried with me since. And sometimes I just don't have anything to say. It doesn't mean I'm mad or I'm not enjoying myself, or not enjoying your company. Honestly, the more comfortable I am with a person the more I open up. I've been single for a pretty long time now. Longer than any man should ever care to admit to. But it is what it is. I am still domesticated and still house broken. Lol. I am looking for an attractive somebody to spend time with, to develop a strong foundation of friendship with. I believe friendship and love are built from the foundation up, in that order. Get it? I don't want to rush into anything. Good things take time and are worth waiting for. If those steps happen faster than expected, all the better!! But those steps are necessary in any relationship, if they aren't, it will fail. I also believe love is about respect and compromise. It takes two, to make one. Give some, take some. But at the end of the day, the give/take is simply viewed as sharing. I don't like to argue and this is the way I have found to avoid 90% of arguments. Respect and compromise. Some of the things I enjoy. Working, watching boxing, Star Trek: Next Generation, rollerblading, eating out, fine cigars, watching Great Lakes ore boats on Duluth Harbor Cam, kissing and cuddling, swimming, camping, winter, YouTube, taking walks, and sleeping in. Children are great, well behaved children are even greater. I have no problem being a father figure to children that don't have that in there life. But if they do, I am good at not stepping on a father's toes. I don't enjoy drinking alcohol so bars and clubs and the nitelife scene is a hard no for me. I will go out for very special occasions but only have a drink or two. I covered a lot of ground here. And this is the first time I put myself on a dating app site so I'm a newbie.
