It’s funny how things have changed in this time and what it takes to meet someone special. It’s amazing how we can get on our computers and plug in what we desire in another person; Hair, eyes, body, income, pepperoni, thin crust...extra cheese.The truth of the matter is that we are taking an element of life that is controlled by God, or the Universe...or whatever you believe in. There is nothing in this world that can eclipse the moment when you lock eyes in the coffee shop, or feel that crush for/of a friend or someone you work with...In this day and age we are far too busy paying for our cars and condos to take a moment and breath in life, and each other and Nature. Who am I to say this or that is wrong or correct. It's likely I have over-romanticized the past......for as Billy Joel said: "The Past was never all that good and the Future isn’t as bad as it seems". Times have changed. Everything is faster, more efficient, colder. As we have always done we must take what we have been given and do what we will. Make it something great and meaningful...even beautiful.That brings me to myself...at home with my electronic gadget. Seemingly useful for everything from finance to....love? Who'd a guessed? Where to I begin? How do I write and 'ad' about who I am and who I seek? How do I wrap up my years on this earth in a way that will attract the 'right one'? I go out but not interested in anyone. Am I too picky? Do I have to settle? I am in decent shape and attracted to the same. Is that shallow? I know I have a great career...even enjoy what I do. I am patient and forgiving, even thoughtful. I love to love and be loved just like everyone else. I have no addictions, diseases or issues.Now what am I looking for: I know she should feel comfortable in a bikini or board shorts. I admit that I tend to gravitate toward the thin-ultrathin side of the spectrum. Not attracted at all if you are overwieght (just being honest). Be fit and healthy, both mentally and physically. What about beyond physical? How do I describe that person that I can look at and smile when there is mustard on her face...or when she does some dorky dance. How she makes me feel when her hand is stroking my hair, or when she holds my hand at the mall. How we can lay in the grass and watch the stars and the moon...without saying a word. Just basking in the silence and the knowledge that we are one and happy that way.I can sit here and debate with my keyboard all day. The fact of the matter is that this is likely the best shot we have to get someone to pause long enough to look around...see those around them for what they mean. Maybe I will get lucky and you are reading this ridiculously long manifesto right now. Maybe God or the Universe will compel you to write to me.I hope so. Lets keep it simple and non-threatening...like frisby in the park or a game of pool.
