I have an open-mind and prefer to spend time with other people who do as well. I am a firm believer that there are many different sides to each story, and view most things in a positive way. I do have some "blond-moments" every once in a while, but consider myself a smart woman who stands up for what I believe in. For example, running errands can be a drag at times, but if you get to spend that time with someone you care about, it makes the time go by much faster!Communication is essential for any relationship. I admit that there have been times when I have held onto a relationship longer than I should, merely because I am not the type of person to 'give-up' on something/someone. I've never had the "I just want to play the field" attitude; I've always wanted something meaningful with just ONE guy. What I look for in a partner: A man who loves Jesus!, is not intimidated by me, is intelligent, patient, funny, and honest. Someone with a positive outlook on life, and who genuinely cares about both his and my future. A man who is mature, romantic, friendly, loyal, and considerate of others. A man of integrity.Confidence = good! Full of yourself = not good.The little things matter most. I always want to make my man happy, so I want the same in return. When a guy stops trying to impress me, I usually lose interest. A gentleman who opens doors and who wants to get the know ME rather than being overly-interested in my body. You don't have to be the most attractive person, but I want to be with someone who cares about his appearance. I think it is important to stay physically active and and make an effort to look attractive for yourself and for your partner.Finances are important to me. Salary is not as important as the ability to manage your money well and live within your means. Someone who appreciates me and the things I do for them. (A simple "thank you" works just fine!) Sooooo I might have a bit of a travel addiction, and luckily for me, my job is very accommodating. I also did a 6 month assignment in St. Croix a few years back. I'm a minimalist and am REALLY good at packing! Working in the emergency room as a nurse fits really well with my fast-paced, thrill-seeker type of attitude. Although I only work three twelve hour shifts a week, I do work hard for the money. If you know any ER nurses we excel at not urinating for 12 hours, starving, and continually telling people that you are not triaged on a first-come first-serve basis. Yes, people who have been shot get to go back before YOU!!! So what do I do when I am not saving lives.....or handing out narcotics? Well, traveling is one of my greatest passions. It allows me to escape and revel in cultures that many don't even know exist. I also love just taking off in the car and going on a road trip. Unfortunately, I have NO sense of direction and the cognitive mapping portion of my brain may or may not be missing. I'm also a sucker for live music, and spend more money on concert tickets every year, than most people do in a lifetime. I might have cried a little when the third day of ACL got cancelled. I'm now fused from T10-L2 and I'm not very good at yoga.... Sorry. No, I don't set off the metal detector at the airport.....why does EVERYONE ask me that?????I don't have any kids, and am unsure if I want any. I know that is going to be a huge red flag for a lot of people, but why lie on a dating website. Although I'm unsure about real children.....I sure do love my dog. She has given me more unconditional love than I probably deserve. If you don't like dogs you might not have a soul.I'm utterly obsessed with dark TV shows like breaking bad & BUT you can't google your question.............I'm a dork, but love to hit the gym or the pavement. I recently got into cycling, but I'm not very good yet. I like to stay fit, but am not afraid to eat the things I love or have a few microbrews on the weekend.!!! Lastly, I'm a hopeless romantic and truly believe that the greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love, and be loved in return. Sadly, I've gotten the love part down but just can't find anyone to love me in return......... I am fun loving person. I like to spend quality time with my friends and family. They mean the most to me and are always there when you need them most. I have two small puppies that are my babies. They are my protectors but I promise their bark is way worse than their bite. They love company. GO VOLS!! During football season, Saturday and Sunday are spent watching football. I swam competitively since I was 12 years old until I graduated from college. I love teaching little ones how to swim and was a swim coach for several years. I miss it but my schedule doesn't give me the time to coach anymore.I've been doing Crossfit for a little bit now and love it. What am I all about. In a ***, you won't get the whole picture but I'll try to create one. I am family oriented, I hang out with my family on a regular basis. Including having my nieces and nephews over for sleepovers on the weekends. I have a cat and my own place. I stand on my own two feet, but still am a woman and like to be taken care of as well. I have a huge heart for the environment and animals. I am allergic to a lot of animals so it puts a damper on that. I recycle everything I can. I also make sure to put my compost items in the compost. I try to be good to the environment, but in today's work it can be harder than I would like to admit. I feel compassion for the homeless, but I don't ever give them money, but I will buy them food if they want it. I like paying it forward, not just at Christmas but all year round. I think you never know what one kind act can do for a person, even if they are in a good mood already. I like the outdoors as long as there aren't too many bugs. Campfires are great, even this time a year they are fun to have. I like going to the movies and events that happen around Winnipeg.(Fringe festival, Mud Hero, Folklarama ect) I am excited for winter, I like the cold weather and skating. I haven't gone skiing since Jr. High, but I would do that again from what I remember, just haven't had the opportunity. I also like reading, going out for coffee or drinks with friends, studying, watching cartoons and documentaries. I have a wide range of music I listen including Korn, Backstreet Boys, M.I.A. All my photos are of me when I am about to go out with friends because otherwise they have children in them and I dont want them on my profile.
