I love to read, and have been burning through an incredible amount of books ever since I got my Kindle ( I absolutely love that thing!). Anywhere from Classics, Historical, biography's etc... I do enjoy going out every once in a while and socializing, I like dance clubs but I'm probably more partial to places I can relax and have a drink or two with friends. I also like to stay inside, watch movies and relax as well. I'm a big movie buff and like comedies, action/adventure and romantic flics, probably the only ones I'm really not fond of are horror movies. I've recently began a new job as a customer service person at a jewelry store and am really enjoying it (plus it's nice not having to work 3 jobs anymore! lol) I would love to some day work in a museum as a kind of curator or registrar, and work on exhibits/handling of the objects. I realize I need to work up to these positions though (as well as obtain a Masters degree which involves quit alot of time and money) so right now any experience in the field is good. As of now I'm just working, saving up money, and trying to become more independent. In the way of music it's hard to pin my favorites down, they rotate on a daily basis depending on my mood. I like dance songs every once in a while, oldies or classics I'm pretty fond of whenever; also like rock, blues, folk, some country, etc... Honestly thus far I haven't had the best experiences on this site, and I'm not sure if this is a good idea to go back on. All the guys I've taken a chance on seemed to have burned me in some way shape or form. The last one I really took a liking to, so it hurt alot when it went from talking constantly to absolute silence on his end. It just baffled me how somebody can do that with no warning. I really just expect honesty from guys, if we don't click there's no harm in saying that you don't feel anything between us. That's what this site is for, to have fun and meet new people! Don't force what doesn't feel right just because you're tired of being alone (though I can relate), it doesn't work out for anybody in the end. Okay, I'll end my rant, just needed to add that part in! For characteristics I'm attracted to, a smart man, who's comfortable with themselves and has a great sense of humor is a big turn on. Ideally I would like someone who is a little more social than me, as I need someone to kind of pull me back into the present sometimes. However I'm fairly open about dating, it all depends on whether there's a real attraction between us. It's very important that someone has goals in their life, even if theyre at a standstill right now (with the economy it's very understandable). I would like to find someone who wants the most out of life basically... P.S. Favorite poem Max Erhmann's "Desiderata", it gets me through anything...dunno just felt like sharing that. :) Probably something we both would enjoy and we could agree on. I know most people say coffee or a meal/movie, but if I really want to get to know someone I find that taking a walk and talking about ourselves is the best way. So maybe that first and a meal once we've become a little more comfortable with eachother; then there isn't that awkward trying to talk to fill the silence while simultaneously trying to eat phenomenon...lol.
