Mom of two boys, my oldest is stationed overseas, and my youngest is seventeen, going into his junior year and driving. I actually live northwest of FW in smallsville (rural, really) , but I'm not putting where on here for now;-) Married once, for a very long time, separated since September ***. I'm a family girl at heart and close to my parents. Going to my kids' sports and music activities, and being with my family was my hobby for years, (finished my degree and grad school during that time too) and now I'm working on finding what I want to do for fun: I like listening to live music and enjoy being outside when I can. Dancing is fun, and I prefer to dance to pop and rock, but I can country dance too. I walk with my dogs every day, when the weather permits, and no day is complete without a little fresh air! I don't hunt or fish, but I'll eat it if you cook it;-). My favorite food is Mexican, preferably with shrimp, yum. What makes me unique? I'm outgoing and verbal and I do believe that clear communication is important in all parts of life. I'm pretty accepting of all kinds of people and I can talk to anyone about just about anything, but I don't enjoy drama or arguing. I'm pretty into being peaceful. Black-Eyed Peas and Lady Gaga are on my playlist too. 102.1, 97.1, and NPR are some of my favorite radio stations...) on my Kindle. I like movies, just haven't been to one in ages. Just a meet up for drinks in a central location to see how things go. If we make it to a real first date, I'll let you decide, as long as it's sane, lol.

It's way too difficult to describe myself in a box. I'm part Italian, which makes me a bit passionate in the things that matter to me. I feel things deeply and give 100% (and then some) to the people in my life. My children are my greatest blessing! Hobbies include anything of a creative nature. I'm a published writer and have recently tapped into the artist in me! I love creating something out of nothing. Can't imagine the world without music...all kinds. Don't think I can pin down a specific type or style. I guess it depends on my mood at any given moment. Anything from acoustic guitar, to piano music, to jazz, to rock, to contemporary pop music. Can't say I'm too fond of zydeco or rap music with offensive lyrics, but most anything else is on my list of favorites. I love the outdoors and enjoy anything that involves being around water...a beach or lake. Married for ten years, and although it wasn't my "happily-ever-after", my amazing kids made it all worth it. My youngest has just headed off to college, and I'm thinking it might be time for a new beginning for me. I just want a stand-up guy who's willing to say "Enough" when it comes to playing the same old games. (If you continue to do what you've always done, you'll continue to get what you've got!) Unfortunately, it seems like this might be the wrong pond to be fishing in. Plenty of people trolling, but nobody (and by that, I mean you men!) really making an effort to connect. (Or maybe you're hanging around for that arm candy?) Good luck with that... Lots of really great women out there (and yes, I think I'm one of them) looking for a really great man willing to at least buy her a cup of coffee! First dates are usually a bit awkward, so I'd prefer something with very little pressure! Meeting for dinner or coffee or a drink seems to be a great way to break the ice. It doesn't take too long to determine if there's potential...
