I'm happy, healthy my career's set and my son's grown. I'm financially independent....In a really great place in my life....except I'm missing someone to share it with. Someone who's interested in friendship but open to the possibility of more...I'm down to earth, very affectionate, love to laugh and have fun...I find joy in the little things in life. In reading profiles, I've noticed quite a few say they workout 6 to7 days a week, run triathlons and never watch TV....I would like to say that's not me and I'm OK with a man who likes to spend romantic evenings in cuddling, watching movies and ordering pizza every once in a while. PS: I never fit the stereotype of a female police officer some have, and still don't...Never felt like I had to give up my femininity to do the job, and as a matter of fact think it served me well during my time on. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised and maybe intrigued....How the hell did that transition happen?? a story for later.."..I want it to burn my lips and engulf my soul"...WooriI have a new friend here and we were giving each other feedback on our profiles...He said my profile may not interest a man who considers himself a protector or provider and it could be intimidating to others..I hope that isn't the case! I can see how it might be at first glance..but will say while I'm certainly independent, I'm 100% female and have my vulnerable side. I do need a man in that area and one who can stand up to me and put me in my place from time to time :P...and once you get to know me you'll know exactly how to do that. I can be feisty but keeps things exciting. .....Oh and Good Luck with that..lol I'm so joking around here! FYI, nothing personal but I'm not communicating with anyone who hasn't posted a pic of themselves. Not comfortable with that. I'm finding, at least for me, with the volume of people on this site I'm much more likely to respond to an *** especially if you added me to "Wants to meet you" section. Same for men who live out of state, please don't take it personally if I don't respond but I don't do long distant dating. There has to be an initial attraction for me (and I'm sure for you too) before taking the next step. Even though I just recently started dating It's pretty obvious, even with viewing pics, and maybe talking, you still have to meet in person to see if the chemistry's there. I'm just getting comfortable with my new found freedom and I'm not in a hurry or going to rush into another relationship. I've met two men so far that have lied about their age and ***say he was 38 :/ and I don't get it. I'm in denial about my age; not quite sure when I reached 48, but that's what the ol' birth certificate says. I pretty much just seem to take life's rollercoaster ride in stride. Nothing like a slow steady climb and then suddenly take a plunge to leave your stomach back at the top of the climb! LOL, I've never been married, have no kids, prefers jeans, boots and a ball cap to dresses but will wear a dress. Being raised in an Army family I’ve been fortunate to have lived and visit many places. As an active duty Sailor for the last 20 years I’ve been to just as many different places. Traveling has been fun and moving every 3 years taught me to find something positive about every place and making friends along the way has always been easy; yet not always so easy on the relationship side. Retired from the Navy in June ***as a Chief Damage Controlman and excited about this new adventure called "being a civilian and only working Monday to Friday." I have 2 horses that believe i am their personal PEZ dispenser. Horses haven’t always been a part of my life, but since becoming friends with a girl who had 8 of her own, I can’t imagine my life without them. I see myself doing work with people and horses. Not as a trainer or barn manager, but more in the arena of psychotherapy; maybe with foster kids, or even wounded warriors.There are many things that keep me busy and entertained. it was a blast! But concerts, hiking, sitting around a bonfire, playing tourist in new cities, movies, playing some pool, tossing some darts are all fun things too. Things I'm not particularly fond of are spiders, snakes and ticks....they give me the heebie jeebies.I’m looking for the same thing everyone else is looking for; someone to do things with, connect with, laugh with, spend time with, grow old with. Our interests don't have to be identical, in fact, they shouldn't be. We each should have things we enjoy doing with other friends that we could eventually share with each other. I would hope that you’re an animal lover, or at least tolerant of them. I’m not looking for someone who’s a body builder, but to all you guys out there with the killer athletic bodies, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! I really appreciate the view at the gym......it keeps me motivated on the treadmill; I can pretend I'm running after you. LOL Im no fitness model. I am healthy and stay active. I go to the gym a couple times a week and typically jog 3- I did my first 5k last month at the VB Rock n Roll. That was fun and now have signed up for two more. Someone to trot with would be cool. Anything is possible, well anything but a movie, it's difficult to chat in a movie theater!

This is my favorite time of year, any and all of my free time I try to spend doing something outdoors even though it's been a crazy summer this year. Well the caption above is about how I feel. I know eveyone on here states no "drama" I would love a man definition of that please! I was also told I started dating to soon! I am a unique individual unlike what some might think! I have 3 kids 2 live with me and one doesn't. I have the normal everyday issues to deal with like evEry other person that has teenagers that live with them. I am tired of getting hurt by men that either can't deal with the fact that when you are with a pretty woman men tend to look or old boyfriends regret not continuing what they once had! That isn't the womans fault. Lack of communication! I want a man that is strong enough to deal with someone that has kids to someone else and isn't insecure because he comes to see his kids. Oh better out this out there. I am an honest person and I guess some guys can't handle that! If a guy calls me I tell you if a guy says something to me I talk about it plz if something bothers you I can't read your mind you need to communicate! And for some reason men don't understand I don't like conflict but I will not be walked on and I will protect my own and will stand my own ground! I have a big heart and I do a lot for others. That's me. I work a lot I am a pediatric nurse and I am a single mother yes I have a lot on my plate but *** being told I started dating to soon how about man up if ya don't like me say so. I will always be busy my job my kids and family BUt I want a man in my life for me not that I need a man to take care of me I don't. Please understand I have time for a relationship! I would like to meet someone that can respect my decisions but if they don't understand why then ask. Everyone has drama if you will. In their own way unless you have no kids and have never loved before oh and have a financial advisor guess maybe you don't. But I do have a positive outlook on life and I want happiness but normalcy and drama are just words that every individual defines different! Any men out there that enjoy motorcycles quads football horses and a woman that is pretty and has a heart did I mention I have a brain? Well, where do I begin without sounding like a car salesman? I have a bubbly type of personality and I believe in team work. Currently, I am painting my office space in my home and I attend Home Depot's workshops to learn how to do new projects around the house.......all while maintaining a French manicure...imagine that! I LOVE traveling(went to Aruba over the summer and can't wait to do it again!), movies,The Renaissance Faire, dancing, comedy clubs, cooking, the beach, skiing, charity events, sporting events, live concerts, and trying new restaurants and different types of cuisine. At times, I just want to cuddle up to a good football game, read a book, tend to the gardens, but no sky-diving. I love to travel, even it's an extended weekend. It's really not about the event, but what we both select together. We both have to feel comfortable with our decision.!!
