Hello all! I decided to try this because a) I don't date people I work with and b) it is just time to try something new. I am not sure what will come of this, but why not? I consider myself an open-minded person. I really enjoy an engaging conversation. However, I'm not sure what my expectations are when it comes to online dating. Admittedly, I have tried it before, but location always seemed to be an issue. I don't really think that would matter if I met the right person though. I have to say that I have quite a few hobbies, some of which I am much more fond than others. I certainly couldn't live without an active lifestyle or work (I will be happy to share the specifics of my job with you should we decide to get to know one another.) By "active lifestyle," I mean the gym, the pool, and outdoor excursions. Too write down all my goals and aspirations would take ages. So, that is best saved for a conversation. And, just to throw this out there, I LOVE to dance, but don't expect a partner to. I practice dance and Yoga on my own. But, dancing around the house does occur often - it makes cleaning more fun for me. I suppose that sounds odd to a guy, but I am a girl! And, a girl is what you are looking for, right? If not, you have the wrong profile. Also, I absolutely have to be around people that can make me laugh! That is a wonderful quality!I suppose that I am now at a lose for words, but I will revise this later! This is kind of a "spur of the moment" decision to sign up on this site, so I suppose I must see how it goes before I write more. Oh yes, I have one son. That is it. First dates should, in my opinion, be somewhat low key. Dinner is always a good start. It definitely lets us know if we can carry a conversation. I think the first date all depends on the person and proximity. If you are close, perhaps just coffee; if you are a "jog" away, dinner may be more appropriate.

Is it just me or does everyone say the same things on these sites? I mean, unless you're an absolute hermit, yes you probably like going out from time to time. And yes, that gets old every night, so don't we all like to stay home occasionally? Bottom line: I love to go out to dinner and to go dancing but I also love staying in, cooking dinner and watching the latest release from Red Box. Depending on my mood, I'm game for just about anything.I'm one of the few, it seems, that isn't originally from here. Born and raised on the East Coast, I've lived here for 7 yrs and have grown to love the mid-West people. I'm mom to two beautiful daughters who are my everything. If I raise them to be confident, compassionate and happy, then I've done my job. I'm fiercely loyal to my family and friends. I'm usually the first one my friends turn to for advice (I'll be kind but honest!), to vent or to grab a drink. I'm very close to my small family and since none are local, am on the phone with one of them at least once a day. I'm outgoing, honest and a little dorky (yes, I sing very loudly and dance around in my kitchen while I cook!). I'm witty and pretty sarcastic, but can't tell a funny joke to save my life. I'm well educated but a large portion of my brain is dedicated to movie quotes. I'm a glass half full kind of girl. I am drama free and have zero tolerance for drama and head games. I'm happy doing pretty much anything - from getting schooled in a mean game of Sorry with my girls, to taking in a Reds game with friends to dressing up for a night on the town, as long as I'm with good company, I'm happy! I don't have a "type"-- brunette or blonde, slender or muscular, tall or short (although I prefer you be taller than me in heels so under 5'10" need not apply), religious or atheist...all that is just noise. I'm looking for a confident (not arrogant!) man with a good sense of humor who likes to enjoy life! I'm looking for that "spark" with someone. It's not physical, it's that twinkle in the other person's eye, that unspoken connection that is the beginning of so much more...
