Very diverse, lover of life, thinker, talker, often child-like (but not childish.) I value honesty and have little patience for any form of artificiality. (Well, except for Splenda ..... As a result, I know how to kick it into high gear when I want to shed a couple and can also just enjoy life, within reason, when I don't want to think about it too much. A few months on, a few months off....hey, that's a healthy balance! I am a smarty-pants science-geek, and need someone who can hold an intelligent conversation, but I recognize that intelligence comes in many forms. Conversely, I cannot be serious all the time. So please be smart, but bring on the silly!I teach high school...um...don't cringe...chemistry! Though it usually surprises people when I tell them. I love breaking stereotypes and showing others that a scientific mind and a creative soul can live in one body.A little bit of a girly-girl, but not materialistic...I'll go rough it with you, but I'm bringing my make up. I am passionate about people with a passion. What do you love, collect, know, participate in?Are you musical at all? A friend once said, "Hanging out with you, Shannon, is like a never ending game of name that tune!" There is always a song in my heart and head, so I would prefer someone who has at least attempted to pick up a musical *** can at least appreciate my musical soul.I also have a heart for our Creator, am a Christian and go to an incredible church on a fairly regular basis. I am not looking for someone who has it all together, but it is important that we share a similar belief system....at least at its most basic level. Bottom line: I am looking for my partner in crime. I'm passionate and opinionated, driven and determined, I sometimes talk too much, but I think I have interesting things to say. I'm not a religious person, but I do have morals and try to do the right thing, I can't stand sports. I'd much rather go to a concert than a ball game. I just completed my Associates degree in Social Sciences and am continuing my education, studying Business Administration, part time. I work a second job slinging pizzas on the weekends. On top of all of that, I do some volunteering and fundraising and a little cake decorating on the side.I have a lot going on, but there's always room for more - especially when it's something that matters. If you're worth it, I'll make the time for you.A nice first date could start out with dinner so we could get to know a little more about each other, then perhaps on to a movie, or to hear a good band, or since the weather is getting nicer, maybe a round of mini-golf! An afternoon date is just as nice, meeting for lunch, or meeting at a park to walk my dogs and talk.
