So….I’m often thought of as a serious-minded professional and I would agree, adding playfulness and a good sense of humour. I enjoy great conversations and witty banter with a touch of sarcasm. I’m a little old-school I think - I value integrity, hard work, respect and honesty, but I have a liberal mindset (read that as old fashioned values not outmoded ideas). I have a relatively regular ***OK more like 7:30 to 5) day and afterwards I definitely enjoy meaningful down time. I measure a good deal of my success in terms of my professional work life, but evaluate that against how I impact others and make a difference to them.Close friends know me for a genuine individual with a sentimental side who shows commitment and loyalty to those close few. I am a softy for most pets and animals in general.When seeking to relax with a mindless activity, I can be content being an armchair sports fan - preferably hockey, football or the Jays. I also enjoy The Big Bang Theory, The Walking Dead, Top Chef, and I confess, Survivor.Humour--night. Things I enjoy...upon reflection I’m finding that I am not necessarily a person of extremes. Do I have a favourite restaurant, travel destination, musical performer, actor, etc.? Not so much. I enjoy new experiences and will try most things at least once. What I really do enjoy is traveling and I have every intention of taking an adventurous, significant trip each year; I would prefer to explore new locations with each journey. I am not an all-day beach person though I crave some sun and relaxation. I would prefer to explore ruins, temples and sites of significance (but don't expect to find me in a hostel) – I confess to being a local craft market junkie and can happily spend too much time (and money) exploring the local culture. Yes, I do like to shop.I classified myself as "about average" for body type. My friends just laugh at me. They seem to think I am on the more fit side of this equation. Whatever. I value fitness though. That said, you will not find me at a gym working out. My preference is for walking. Say ***km a week or so, and some daily exercise thrown in for good measure. Ideally, the person that I am looking for similarly values a reasonably healthy lifestyle and a level of fitness.I enjoy the company of a serious-minded individual who combines this with an easy-going personality – like me, someone who can move between serious and playful; someone who is fun and can make me laugh; someone who values her career and appreciates balance, taking time to relax. Honesty, loyalty, integrity, and dependability I would hope are givens. So basically, a soundly functioning moral compass. This, added to a gentle and kind-hearted soul, can add up to the personality I would enjoy spending quality time with. I won't be so cliché as to say that I am looking for someone to complete me; I am at a place in my life where I am basically happy with where I am, but it would be so nice to share the journey.I am not particularly looking for a casual relationship.
