I am a work in progress.Being real on such a profile is difficult. It is an attempt to put a multidimensional life on a seemingly one dimensional page. But, here I am typing away.Just a photog.I am very creative. I always have been. Its just the way my brain works. I am an honored photojournalist. My best friends say I should mention all of the Emmys, Murrows, and national awards. Well, hummm... I just did. It seems a little awkward since most of that is in my past. But, it is representative of my love of the craft.Definition of me.I love to wear ties and suits. I often think like a man. But the woman in me is very real. Also, I am only attracted to feminine cis gendered women. I feel it is important to clarify this fact because while I have many friends in the queer world, I have to be honest about who lights my candle... rocks my boots,.... tickles my fancy if you please. Kink is a word that I am quite comfortable with. Give me just the right amount of that and I am happy. Over the past few years I have experienced what it is like to be in an open relationship. But right now, I am looking for a monogamous one. Hey, if I am going to shop in the virtual super market, I might as well put only items from my list in my cart.I have depression. My mother and grandmother had it before me. Its not all of who I am, but I felt it was important to mention. It will never go away completely. But I manage it. Everything is mostly directed quietly inward. I don't abuse anything or anyone. Spirituality and intelligence are a big part of my life. It is how I make sense of this world. As I type, I can hear young voices echoing over a game of nerf war in the backyard. It is a beautiful noise on a hot summer day. My hair would curl from nervous perspiration despite the best efforts of Aqua Net and Aveda men's hair cream. My nerves would be covered by my general ability to create a conversation with anyone, anywhere.You are a fiery femme with a strong touch of spice and sass. My A.D.D. would be harnessed by your smile. You are strong and weak in all the right places.Its summertime and your dress is a beautiful light cotton. Sunlight seems to make it glow. Its a thread from an earlier time in history. Your vintage dress and my old tie finally meet. Our first date waits in the sunlight.     I grew up in Toronto, Canada, and despite years being away from my homeland, it’s hard to take the Canadian soul out of the girl. I moved to SC/Savannah, Georgia after college and was a high school physics teacher in my first life career. After my grandpa had multiple strokes, I was his caregiver and deeply cherished the time I had with him, especially as he taught me to live both life and death with grace, joy and acceptance. I became a physical therapist because of him and love working with folks of all ages to improve their independance and quality of life, despite pain and disability. I am fiercely independent, a science geek, nature lover and newly discovered that the mountains sing to my soul! I lived on a South Carolina barrier island in the salt marsh and ocean ecosystems, but I’m loving learning Montana history and geology. I must admit I’m struggling with the pervasive Trump supporting hatred that seems to be everywhere these days. My kids have almost finished high school. For many years, I considered myself bi and fell in love with the person, not the gender. But over the years, I found my greatest love affairs were with women and I am happiest now as a gay woman. I am also happiest off the beaten path, hiking new trails and parks; sleeping and cooking outside is so romantic. I have been told the best word to describe me is passionate, basically about everything. About love, learning, embracing the moment and enjoying wherever I am. I wish I cared a little less about politics these days as it certainly isn’t doing anything for my serenity! I am a scholar at heart and can never get enough learning how are earth works at more detailed levels. I would love to find a woman with her own passions and dreams.
